What you'll do:

• Lead the end-to-end hardware design process for automotive optical radar/sensor products, including schematic circuit creation, PCB layout rule definition and review, comprehensive design documentation, DFMEA analysis, WCCA execution, as well as high-speed signal and power integrity simulation.
• Execute rigorous product and chip validation activities in accordance with automotive high-reliability standards, developing robust test fixtures and resolving any chip reliability non-conformances that arise during testing phases.
• Engage proactively in pre-project requirement alignment sessions and prototype validation exercises to ensure all technical specifications are met before mass production commences.
• Drive the ramp-up of mass production by continuously optimising hardware designs, improving incoming material quality controls, and refining testing processes to achieve consistent product excellence.
• Collaborate closely with dedicated test teams to establish effective test environments; provide hands-on support for FCT fixture design and debugging while optimising test logic for enhanced product reliability.
• Propose innovative design improvements for existing products by challenging conventional boundaries and implementing new ideas that boost overall performance from concept through to implementation.
• Support production teams by troubleshooting issues related to hardware integration or testing procedures, ensuring seamless transition from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
• Document all technical findings meticulously in standardised reports and share insights across multidisciplinary teams to foster collective understanding and drive project success.
• Participate in regular cross-functional meetings with stakeholders, including those based overseas and to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements within both R&D and manufacturing operations.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline with a strong academic foundation in analog/digital circuits, reliability engineering principles, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
• Demonstrated proficiency in hands-on debugging using oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analysers, and other laboratory equipment essential for electronic diagnostics.
• Extensive experience utilising schematic capture tools and PCB design CAD software to create complex circuit boards suitable for high-reliability automotive applications.
• Exceptional documentation skills with the ability to compile technical data into clear standardised reports while effectively communicating findings across diverse engineering teams.
• A detail-oriented mindset combined with self-motivation; you thrive on continuous learning and are committed to ongoing optimisation of both products and processes.
• Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders within global project teams.
• Experience working within automotive or high-reliability electronics sectors is highly desirable but not mandatory; candidates from adjacent industries are encouraged to apply if they possess relevant skills.
