Data Centre Site Facilties Engineer (Shift-based, Jurong)

A leading global provider in the data centre industry is seeking a Data Centre Site Facility Engineer to join their operations team in Singapore. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and repair of mission-critical equipment and systems that support 24x7 data centre operations.

What You'll Do

• Perform site maintenance, repairs, and inspections to uphold the highest standards of availability for all mission-critical systems in data centre environment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems efficiently, applying your expertise to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Respond independently to unplanned events or emergencies without immediate supervision while maintaining clear communication with the wider team.
• Conduct thorough rounds and inspections, detecting anomalies early to prevent disruptions in service or safety.
• Develop or improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for site-specific equipment, ensuring best practices are consistently applied.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across different business areas to share knowledge and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, incidents, and system performance for audit purposes and future reference.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance your technical skills and stay current with industry developments.

What You'll Need

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in mission-critical facilities operations or engineering roles involving assets such as UPS systems, HVAC units, generators, fire/life safety systems.
• Hands-on competence in either electrical or mechanical disciplines with proven ability in the complementary area (for example: electrical expertise paired with mechanical competence).
• Hands on expereince with data centre environment.
• Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues independently while maintaining clear communication with team members.
