Senior Security Operations Engineer

We're partnering with a well-established global organisation that's investing heavily in strengthening its cyber defence capabilities. This is an opportunity to join an established security team focused on proactive threat management, advanced detection engineering and security automation rather than simply reacting to alerts.

What you'll be doing

• Lead proactive threat hunting and investigate sophisticated cyber threats.
• Build and enhance detection logic across SIEM, EDR and XDR platforms.
• Drive vulnerability management from identification through remediation.
• Improve incident response processes and reduce organisational risk.
• Review external attack surfaces and strengthen security controls.
• Develop security automation and streamline operational workflows.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and application teams on security improvements.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience within Security Operations, Threat Hunting or Cyber Defence.
• Strong hands-on experience with EDR/XDR technologies (essential).
• Experience working with SIEM platforms and security monitoring.
• Knowledge of cloud security, identity security and modern attack techniques.
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python or similar) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence and incident response.
• CCSP certification is highly preferred (or candidates actively pursuing it will be considered).
