Cloud Security Engineer

Our client is hiring for a Cloud Security Engineer. This role focuses on strengthening cloud security posture by identifying, prioritising, and remediating security risks across AWS environments. You will play a key role in embedding security controls into infrastructure and automation, ensuring scalable and secure cloud operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Partnering with infrastructure and platform teams to implement secure-by-design solutions
• Building detection and monitoring capabilities across cloud, container, and application environments
• Strengthening IAM, federation, and access control frameworks
• Driving cloud security initiatives and influencing engineering best practices
• Supporting customer security assessments and penetration testing activities
• Enhancing SIEM and SOAR capabilities through onboarding, automation, and response workflows
• Developing security standards, playbooks, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Contributing to long-term cloud security strategy and roadmap planning

What We're Looking For:

• Experience securing AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud environments
• Strong understanding of IAM, SAML, OAuth and modern authentication models
• Knowledge of network security concepts including Firewalls, WAFs, and segmentation
• Exposure to containers, Kubernetes, or cloud-native infrastructure
• Experience working with SIEM, detection engineering, or security automation
• Ability to communicate security concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
