Senior Cyber Incident Response & Digital Forensics Specialist

Our client is looking for an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) to investigate complex security incidents, assess emerging threats, and provide technical leadership during cyber investigations. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced security professionals, contribute to national-level cyber resilience initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and support investigations into cybersecurity incidents across enterprise environments
• Perform digital forensic analysis, malware investigations and log analysis to determine root causes and impact
• Provide technical guidance and threat assessments during incident response activities
• Collaborate closely with security operations and investigation teams to ensure timely containment and remediation
• Prioritise investigative activities and support operational planning within the team
• Assess emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities and attacker methodologies
• Maintain and improve incident response procedures, playbooks and investigation workflows
• Stay updated on threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs)
• Prepare investigation findings and incident reports for internal stakeholders

What You'll Bring:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in cyber incident response, threat investigations, digital forensics or related cybersecurity functions
• Hands-on experience with forensic investigation platforms such as AXIOM, EnCase, X-Ways, FTK or Autopsy
• Strong understanding of incident handling, evidence collection and forensic methodologies
• Experience conducting technical investigations across Windows, Linux or enterprise environments
• Professional certifications such as GCFA, GCFE, GCIH or equivalent are highly regarded
• Experience within SOC, DFIR or cyber investigation environments is advantageous
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
