IT Audit Director

We are partnering with a financial services organisation that is redefining how IT Audit operates, moving beyond traditional control testing into a function that actively shapes technology risk, resilience, and transformation strategy.

What You'll Do:

• Leading audits across operational resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity
• Manage and develop a team
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, not just an independent reviewer
• Help shape a modern IT Audit function that keeps pace with evolving technology risks
• Driving audit coverage over transformation programmes, ensuring risks are identified early, not after the fact
• Expanding audit scope into emerging areas such as data governance, AI, and digital platforms
• Moving beyond control validation to deliver practical, strategic insights to senior stakeholders
• Owning specific technology risk domains and contributing to overall risk profiling and audit strategy

What You'll Bring:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems (or equivalent)
• At least 15 years of experience in Technology Audit within financial services
• Experience in areas such as:
  • Operational resilience / BCM / DR
  • Technology or digital transformation audits
  • Third-party / outsourcing risk
  • Data, AI, cyber, or cloud risk (strong advantage)
• Ability to connect audit findings to real business impact, not just control gaps
• Strong written communication skills, able to craft clear, structured, and persuasive audit issues
• A mindset that challenges, questions, and improves, rather than follows templates
