Senior/Lead Network Security Engineer

About the client Our Client is a Global European MNC in chemicals, oil and gas industry with international presence and Singapore as its APAC headquarter.

About the Role

• Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco Catalyst Switches, Cisco Wireless solutions, and Cisco Catalyst Center, ensuring optimal network performance and availability.
• Administer and support Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiClient EMS, and FortiClient security solutions.
• Configure and manage advanced Fortinet features such as VDOMs, High Availability (HA), NPU Links, 802.3ad Link Aggregation, and Network Zoning.
• Implement and maintain network security policies, firewall rules, Virtual IPs (VIPs), NAT configurations (SNAT/DNAT), web filtering, and SSL/SSH inspection profiles.
• Follow ITIL best practices by managing incidents, changes, and service requests through ServiceNow while ensuring proper documentation and approval processes.
• Build, configure, and maintain secure IPsec VPN and SSL VPN connectivity for regional and global network communications.
• Perform end-to-end troubleshooting across network, server, and end-user environments using tools such as Wireshark, TCPdump, and iPerf.
• Monitor global network infrastructure and system health using PRTG and other monitoring tools to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
• Support Greenfield and Brownfield projects, including new site deployments, network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Manage network cabling requirements, including copper and fiber optic infrastructure, and recommend appropriate transceivers and connectivity solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, operational procedures, and workplace safety requirements within industrial environments.
• Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable network services and support business-critical operations.

What We're Looking For

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, Subnetting, ARP, MAC Addressing, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience with Cisco networking solutions and Fortinet security platforms.
• Familiarity with IT/OT environments and understanding of the Purdue Model is advantageous.
• Knowledge of network monitoring, packet analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments.
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP and Fortinet FCP (NSE4) or FCSS (NSE7) certifications are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural, global teams and adapt to changing project priorities.
• Comfortable performing both network engineering activities and hands-on infrastructure support when required.
• Strong commitment to safety practices, particularly within industrial and operational environments.
