Senior Support Analyst (FIX Connectivity)

About the Client Our Client is a leading investment banking and capital markets firm in Asia, headquartered in Hong Kong. It provides services including equities trading, investment banking, wealth management, research, and asset management to institutional and corporate clients globally.

About the Role

• Part of the Global FIX Connectivity Team, responsible for managing FIX connectivity requests and onboarding for clients, brokers, exchanges, and third-party vendors.

• Provided daily trading operations and production support for High Touch and Low Touch Cash Equities, Swaps, and Futures & Options (F&O) trading desks.

• Managed FIX onboarding, testing, certification, and connectivity implementation for clients, vendors, brokers, exchanges, and both internal and external trading venues, including dark and lit pools.

• Collaborated with infrastructure and network teams to establish, troubleshoot, and maintain FIX connectivity between external counterparties and internal trading platforms.

• Maintained and supported FIX network relationships, ensuring stable connectivity, timely issue resolution, and adherence to market and business requirements.

• Partnered with global stakeholders to support FIX connectivity projects, production changes, and incident management activities across trading environments.

• Worked closely with regional FIX teams across Hong Kong, Pune, New York, Tokyo, London, and Sydney to provide seamless global trading connectivity and operational support.

• Investigated and resolved trading and connectivity issues, minimizing disruptions and ensuring high service availability for front-office trading operations.

• Supported the onboarding and certification of connectivity with brokers, exchanges, ECNs, and trading venues across multiple global markets.

• Contributed to the successful delivery of FIX-related enhancements, deployments, and connectivity initiatives in a high-pressure trading floor environment.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of IT experience, including 3+ years specializing in FIX Protocol, FIX certification, and client onboarding.

• Hands-on experience with FIX engines such as CameronFIX, Appia, and other industry-standard FIX connectivity platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Cash Equities trading within DMA, DSA, Agency, and Program Trading environments.

• Good understanding of Swaps, Futures, and Options trading workflows in DMA and DSA environments.

• Experience supporting trading operations within a Broker-Dealer and Capital Markets environment.

• Knowledge of exchange regulations and market structures across major Asian markets, including Hong Kong, China Connect, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, India, and Indonesia.

• Familiarity with trade lifecycle and trade flow processes, including DMA/DSA trade booking and post-trade workflows.

• Experience working with leading Order Management Systems (OMS) including Fidessa and FlexTrade.

• Knowledge of front-office trading platforms and market data systems such as Bloomberg and ITG.

• Proficient in FIX testing and certification tools, including VeriFIX.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Kibana, Grafana, Logstash, Elasticsearch, and ITRS.

• Skilled in incident, change, and service management processes using ServiceNow (SNOW).

• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux environments, Shell scripting, and Oracle databases.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and perform in fast-paced trading floor environments.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience liaising directly with traders, brokers, vendors, and business users.

• Exposure to FIX development, automation initiatives, and end-to-end FIX project delivery.

• Working knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts, monitoring, and operational best practices.

• Capable of leading FIX onboarding, certification, testing, deployment, and connectivity rollout activities independently.
