Java Developer (Banking, 1-Year Contract)

As a Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimising technology solutions that underpin essential financial services. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with talented colleagues across regions to deliver new features on modern platforms while adhering to clean code principles

What You'll Do

• Develop robust and scalable technology solutions tailored to meet complex business requirements by applying modern software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with both regional and global teams to design and implement new functionalities using relevant programming languages and shared platforms.
• Leverage expertise in design patterns and adhere strictly to best software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Optimise existing codebases through a solid grasp of fundamental algorithms, ensuring performance improvements and maintainability.
• Write comprehensive Specification by Example documents, Feature Files, and apply Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) or Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
• Integrate SDLC automation tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, and Ansible into daily workflows for enhanced productivity.

What You'll Need

• More than 5 years' software development experience in Java/Scala
• Experience in full-stack development using ReactJS/AngularJS
• Experience in automations tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible or similar
• Demonstrated expertise in event sourcing architectures as well as Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) principles for building resilient systems.
• Able to work independently and in a team-environment
