Save job

A leading global technology provider is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their Asia Team in Singapore. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding the adoption of advanced IT solutions within the enterprise sector. You will be at the forefront of engaging with key decision makers and influencers in large corporations.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play an instrumental role in expanding the reach of advanced AV/IT solutions among large corporate clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around identifying new business prospects through various channels, cultivating long-term relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions. By maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and staying attuned to market developments, you will ensure that your efforts translate into sustained growth for both clients and the organisation. Success in this position requires not only excellent interpersonal skills but also a deep understanding of how technology can address complex business challenges. You will have ample opportunity to showcase your ability to connect with influential figures in the enterprise space while enjoying the support of a dedicated team committed to your professional development.

  • Identify and prospect potential customers within the enterprise sector using diverse communication channels such as referrals, personal networks, marketing events, cold-calling, and social media outreach.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate clients, ensuring their satisfaction with existing solutions and encouraging continued investment in new or expanded offerings.
  • Develop and nurture strong partnerships with key purchasing decision makers and influencers to ensure that solutions are specified in tender requirements and procurement processes.
  • Maintain an active and robust sales pipeline by consistently engaging in prospecting activities that drive high-growth opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities within the enterprise space to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic planning.
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance, pipeline status, and customer feedback to internal stakeholders for continuous improvement.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to enhance brand visibility and foster new connections.

What you bring:

To excel as a Business Development Manager in this role, you will bring extensive experience navigating complex sales environments within large organisations. Your background should include hands-on involvement in selling solutions where building rapport with senior executives was essential. A solid grasp of technical concepts—whether acquired through formal education or practical exposure—will enable you to communicate effectively with both clients and internal teams. Your interpersonal strengths will shine as you foster trust-based relationships that lead to repeat business and long-term partnerships. In addition, your adaptability ensures you remain responsive amid evolving client needs or shifting market dynamics. Above all, your commitment to delivering value through collaborative teamwork sets you apart as someone who thrives in environments where shared success is celebrated.

  • At least five years of proven experience selling solutions to large corporate clients within the enterprise sector, demonstrating consistent achievement of sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate contact with potential customers through cold calling or leveraging existing networks, resulting in successful business engagements.
  • Strong relationship-building skills that enable you to establish trust with decision makers and influencers across multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles from initial prospecting through negotiation and closing, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • A well-established network within the enterprise space is highly advantageous for accelerating business development efforts.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—that allow you to present technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with pre-sales teams and other internal stakeholders for optimal solution delivery.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions while maintaining focus on long-term relationship building.
  • High level of professionalism, dependability, and responsiveness when representing the organisation at external events or meetings.
