Finance Project Manager, 3 Months Contract
A leading global professional services organisation is seeking a Finance Project Manager to support a pivotal finance transformation initiative in Singapore.
This role offers you the opportunity to be at the heart of a major Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) implementation, where your expertise will directly influence the redesign and optimisation of finance processes across multiple business units. You will collaborate closely with finance, operations, and project teams, ensuring that workflows are documented, future-state processes are developed, and stakeholder alignment is achieved. The organisation values flexibility, knowledge sharing, and supportive leadership, providing an environment where your skills can flourish and your contributions are recognised. If you are passionate about process improvement and thrive in collaborative settings, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact within a respected global network.
- You will play a central role in documenting and redesigning finance processes as part of a high-profile Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation, working alongside knowledgeable teams who value collaboration and shared success.
- The organisation offers flexible working opportunities and encourages ongoing training and development, ensuring you have access to resources that support both personal growth and professional excellence.
- Your work will directly contribute to the successful transition of finance systems, supporting change management activities and fostering understanding among business users for new processes.
What you'll do:
As a Finance Project Manager based in Singapore, you will immerse yourself in the critical task of transforming finance operations through hands-on involvement in process analysis, documentation, and redesign. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around reviewing current Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workflows across various customer accounts. By partnering with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 project team, you will help shape future-state processes that reflect both operational needs and strategic objectives. Facilitating workshops with stakeholders from finance and operations will be essential as you validate existing procedures and gain consensus on proposed enhancements. Your ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend standardisation opportunities will drive continuous improvement. Producing clear process maps and supporting documents will be crucial for enabling successful system transitions. Additionally, you will play an important role in change management by guiding business users through new processes. Success in this position requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, proactive engagement with stakeholders, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Review existing Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) finance processes across key customer accounts, ensuring comprehensive documentation that reflects current operational realities.
- Partner with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 project team to design future-state finance processes that align with the goals of the D365 implementation and organisational requirements.
- Develop detailed account-specific process documentation that integrates both operational needs and finance requirements for seamless system adoption.
- Facilitate collaborative workshops and discussions with finance and operational stakeholders to validate existing workflows and secure sign-off on proposed improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams from both internal departments and external partners to ensure consistency in process redesigns and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardisation within current finance processes, recommending solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Produce clear, comprehensive process maps along with supporting documentation to enable a smooth transition during system upgrades or migrations.
- Support change management initiatives by helping business users understand, accept, and adopt new finance processes through effective communication and training.
- Engage regularly with project teams to monitor progress, address challenges proactively, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders by providing timely updates, gathering feedback, and incorporating suggestions into process improvements.
What you bring:
To excel as a Finance Project Manager in this transformative role, you will bring proven experience from previous finance transformation or process improvement projects—ideally within large-scale organisations or professional services settings. Your deep understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes will allow you to analyse workflows critically while integrating them seamlessly into broader financial operations. Experience documenting business processes comprehensively is essential; your facilitation skills during mapping workshops will foster consensus among diverse stakeholders. Exposure to ERP implementations such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), SAP or Oracle equips you with valuable insights into system transitions—familiarity with D365 is particularly advantageous. Your exceptional stakeholder management abilities enable you to connect meaningfully with colleagues from finance, operations, project teams, and external partners alike. Clear communication paired with meticulous documentation ensures everyone understands complex changes easily. Operating comfortably in hands-on roles means you are ready to dive into details rather than oversee from afar. Identifying gaps swiftly while proposing actionable improvements demonstrates your commitment to continuous enhancement. Supporting change management activities through empathetic guidance helps business users adapt smoothly. Above all else, your collaborative approach fosters an inclusive environment where teamwork drives success.
- Proven experience leading or supporting finance transformation or process improvement projects within large organisations or professional services environments.
- Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes including their integration within broader financial operations.
- Demonstrated ability to document business processes thoroughly while facilitating collaborative process mapping workshops involving diverse stakeholders.
- Exposure to ERP implementations such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), SAP, Oracle or similar platforms; familiarity with D365 is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills enabling you to engage effectively with finance teams, operations staff, project managers, and external partners across multiple business units.
- Outstanding communication skills coupled with strong documentation abilities that ensure clarity in conveying complex information to varied audiences.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on delivery role where direct involvement in process analysis and redesign is expected rather than purely programme management duties.
- Ability to identify process gaps quickly while proposing practical solutions for standardisation or improvement based on best practices.
- Experience supporting change management activities by educating business users on new systems or workflows through empathetic communication methods.
- A collaborative mindset that thrives in environments where teamwork, knowledge sharing, and mutual support are valued.
