Manager, Gift Processing
A leading global institution is seeking a Manager, Gift Processing to join their Advancement Operations team. As a key member of the Gift Team, you will play an essential role in delivering efficient, compliant, and donor-focused gift processing operations. You will be instrumental in enhancing the donor experience by implementing best practices, improving processes, and supporting strategic initiatives across the department.

- Work closely with international partners and internal stakeholders to ensure gifts are processed accurately, compliantly, and efficiently while contributing to strategic projects that expand tax-efficient giving options.
What you'll do:
- Ensure high quality administration of gifts and foundations by maintaining accurate records and adhering to legal and audit requirements.
- Co-lead operational relationships with external foundations and third-party entities such as CAF, Benevity, Charities Trust, and Ariba to facilitate seamless gift processing.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and supporting documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Guarantee donors receive appropriate acknowledgements and tax receipts where eligible, ensuring compliance with fiscal regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation and archiving systems for all gift transactions to support legal audits and transparency.
- Lead projects aimed at developing the foundation network by building partnerships with international organisations to extend tax-efficient giving options.
- Manage due diligence, application, and reporting processes for partner entities while supporting performance reporting on foundations.
- Administer recurring gifts and payment flows across platforms including Magento, Stripe, and other digital tools; test platforms regularly in collaboration with IT teams.
- Coordinate upgrades and implementation of new payment methods while leading initiatives to improve tracking of pledges and recurring donations.
- Provide high-level donor support by managing enquiries via shared mailboxes, delivering excellent customer service, supporting donors with payment methods, managing tax receipts, executing special projects, and contributing to operational or strategic initiatives as required.
What you bring:
- Proven experience working in the non-profit sector or fundraising environment with a deep understanding of donor relations.
- Demonstrated expertise in operations or project management within higher education or related fields.
- Strong organisational skills enabling you to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience working with CRM systems or payment platforms such as Magento or Stripe; familiarity with digital tools is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills allowing you to engage confidently with a wide range of internal stakeholders as well as external partners.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and financial processes ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding donor/customer service through responsiveness and empathy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams by building strong relationships that foster shared goals.
- Ownership of responsibilities demonstrated by consistently delivering high-quality outcomes while striving for continuous improvement.
