A new, purpose-built live music venue in Singapore is seeking a Head of Venue Operations to oversee all aspects of its day-to-day operations and event delivery. This exciting role offers the opportunity to shape the launch and ongoing success of a mid-size venue with a capacity of 3,000, designed to host international touring acts, local artists, comedy shows, community events, and private hires.

  • You will play a pivotal role in launching a brand-new live music venue in Singapore with state-of-the-art facilities and versatile event spaces that cater to both international and local talent.
  • The position offers significant responsibility for shaping operational excellence from pre-opening mobilisation through ongoing event delivery, including process creation, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

As Head of Venue Operations you will be at the heart of every event hosted at this new live music venue in Singapore. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing all operational functions from event planning through delivery—ensuring every detail is managed efficiently for maximum guest satisfaction. You will supervise teams across Event Management, Facilities Management, Production Management as well as external contractors to guarantee seamless coordination between Front of House and Back of House operations.

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of all events and venue activities to ensure exceptional guest experiences are consistently achieved.
  • Ensure Front of House staffing levels, crowd flow management strategies, and public systems always meet rigorous safety and service standards.
  • Supervise live event delivery by aligning Front of House, Back of House, production, technical teams, and facilities staff for seamless operations throughout each event.
  • Develop comprehensive event policies, procedures, and public messaging that comply with venue requirements as well as regulatory obligations.
  • Produce detailed post-event reports highlighting issues encountered during events along with resolutions implemented and opportunities identified for future improvement.
  • Oversee event builds, technical delivery processes, and load-outs in close collaboration with promoters and touring crews to maintain high standards.
  • Coordinate logistics across production teams, front-of-house staff, technical personnel, and ticketing operations to deliver flawless event execution every time.
  • Conduct thorough pre-event checks and risk assessments to maintain operational readiness while proactively addressing any safety concerns or hazards.
  • Lead the implementation of Command and Control for all events via a Control Room operation to ensure effective emergency response protocols are followed.
  • Develop Emergency Response Plans including evacuation procedures and crowd safety measures in compliance with legislation, codes of practice, venue policies, and global standards.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Business or related field is preferred for this role.
  • Minimum seven years’ experience in event or venue management with proven expertise handling mid- to large-scale live events is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability motivating mentoring developing staff while effectively managing diverse teams contractors casual personnel is required.
  • Proven experience in contract management contractor oversight ensuring accountability service excellence is highly valued.
  • Experience working alongside broad range promoters organisers touring professionals enhances your suitability for this position.
  • Deep understanding local event regulations permitting processes OH&S licensing requirements ensures compliance throughout operations.
  • Solid knowledge technical production requirements venue operations live entertainment workflows supports successful event execution.
  • Strong familiarity concessions merchandise operations including POS systems contributes to efficient auxiliary revenue management.
  • Highly organised adaptable outstanding attention detail ability manage shifting priorities composure under pressure distinguishes you as ideal candidate.
