Senior Supply Chain Manager
Supply Chain Senior Manager A leading specialty chemical is seeking a Supply Chain Senior Manager (APAC) based in Singapore.
What you'll do:
- Design and implement robust supply chain strategies tailored to the unique requirements of specialty chemicals and hazardous goods across the APAC region.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics networks specialising in dangerous goods transport including ocean freight, trucking, and certified warehousing providers.
- Ensure maximum efficiency and flawless compliance in customs clearance procedures, international trade regulations, and cross-border shipping for hazardous products.
- Oversee the selection process and audit of 3PL/4PL logistics providers to guarantee they meet stringent chemical handling standards and safety capabilities.
- Manage the supplier partners 3PL/4PL
- Monitor logistics costs, freight lanes, and carrier performance to optimise distribution spend while maintaining regulatory compliance at all times.
- Facilitate monthly S&OP processes by aligning sales forecasts with manufacturing capacity and inventory targets.
- Develop and execute supply chain continuity plans to mitigate risks related to chemical shortages, logistics capacity constraints, or disruptions in hazardous materials handling.
- Leverage SAP systems to drive data-driven decision-making, batch/lot traceability, process automation, and reporting accuracy.
- Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators such as total landed cost, inventory turnover rates, safety incident rates, and order fulfilment metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at eliminating waste and enhancing agility throughout the chemical supply chain.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related fields
- 15 years of progressive end to end supply chain experience with at least 3 years spent in a leadership capacity within the chemical sector.
- Expertise with ERP software (SAP) as well as advanced data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Excel
- A solid understanding of handling hazardous materials including bulk liquid logistics and international chemical regulations is necessary.
- Cross-functional leadership skills to influence stakeholders across all divisions effectively.
- Exceptional analytical abilities combined with strategic thinking skills to navigate complex global market conditions successfully.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers specialising in dangerous goods transport is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of developing supply chain continuity plans that mitigate risks related to chemical shortages or logistics disruptions is advantageous.
- Ability to establish key performance indicators for supply chain operations including cost optimisation and safety metrics is important.
- Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at eliminating waste and improving operational agility is valued.
