An exciting opportunity has arisen for an International Freight Senior Specialist to join a regional team based in Singapore. What you'll do:

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of supply chain operations across the region.

  • Author, maintain, and govern International Freight Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), integrating Lean methodologies to enhance business performance and ensure compliance.
  • Redefine global ocean, air, and multimodal networks to maximise speed and cost efficiency while guiding market fulfilment teams on complex routing decisions.
  • Provide expert guidance on transit times and risk mitigation strategies for international freight operations across multiple regions.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain and present these to leadership teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Spearhead the deployment of regional strategic projects such as TMS, WMS, and Logistics Business Solutions (LBS), ensuring seamless integration within local markets.
  • Own overall supply chain results by identifying trends and risks, facilitating regular performance reviews, and aligning action plans with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with IT teams to leverage digital platforms like Tableau and Salesforce for advanced visual performance tracking and real-time insights.
  • Govern the Supply Chain Margin Improvement Programme by holding project owners accountable and escalating risks to the savings pipeline promptly.
  • Drive governance for market-level improvement projects aimed at reducing supply chain costs as a percentage of net sales.
  • Support commercial and finance teams in developing robust financial frameworks including Monthly Operational Reviews (MOR), budgeting, and long-range planning.

What you bring:

  • Relevant Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain or related discipline is required for this role.
  • At least five years of experience in international freight within supply chain environments is mandatory.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international freight modes including ocean, air, multimodal transportations across regions is essential.
  • Familiarity with 3PL/4PL distributor model concepts is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience working within corporate business environments with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven track record in process flow re-design, mapping, and data-driven decision making use of advanced analytics tools.
  • Working knowledge of strategy deployment methods as well as performance measures on financial/supply chain platforms is important.
  • Hands-on experience managing high-volume structured and unstructured data sets using data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Salesforce.
  • Business acumen alongside strong initiative; ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed.
