Procurement Specialist
What you'll do:
- Lead sourcing activities including Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Tender Management to ensure supplier evaluation and selection aligns with established Procurement Policy.
- Conduct benchmarking and market assessments to drive improvements in cost efficiency and quality across all procurement categories.
- Provide guidance and seamless support to end-users on procurement policies, procedures, recommendation papers, and contract management processes.
- Engage proactively with internal stakeholders to identify business requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure timely execution of procurement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Compliance, and Legal to deliver comprehensive end-to-end support for end-users throughout the procurement process.
- Develop and maintain a robust supply base by ensuring a database of qualified and competitive vendors is available for all school needs.
- Manage vendor performance and deliverables to guarantee the quality and timeliness of goods and services supplied meet organisational standards.
- Analyse procurement spend data regularly to identify sourcing opportunities, areas for improvement, and contribute actively to departmental success.
- Comply fully with child safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting any concerns promptly to designated leads as required by the institution.

What you bring:
- Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply or equivalent qualification in a related field is essential for this role.
- 5 years of experience in procurement and sourcing within CAPEX and indirect categories such as facility management, security services, utilities or engineering services is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in E-Procurement platforms as well as spend analysis tools is required to manage complex purchasing activities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills are vital for providing clear guidance to end-users and collaborating effectively across teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with attention to detail enable you to navigate challenges in vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Outstanding time management skills ensure timely execution of procurement tasks while balancing multiple priorities.
- Negotiation skills are important for securing favourable terms with suppliers while maintaining positive relationships.
- Interpersonal skills are crucial for building trust within cross-functional teams and fostering an inclusive environment.
- Analytical skills allow you to interpret spend data accurately and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint supports your daily reporting and documentation needs.
