A leading global retailer is seeking an Allocator for a 6-month contract based in Singapore, offering a competitive monthly salary of S$5,000 - S$6,000. This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned brand that values diversity, imagination, and the power of teamwork. As an Allocator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring optimal product availability across multiple countries in Southeast Asia and India, directly impacting consumer satisfaction and store performance.

The organisation is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where your attention to detail and collaborative spirit will be highly valued. With exposure to cross-functional teams and opportunities to contribute to process improvements, this role offers both professional growth and the chance to make a tangible difference in a fast-moving retail landscape.

  • Join a globally recognised retailer with a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and rewarding creativity; enjoy working alongside passionate professionals who value your unique skills.
  • Take on a key position responsible for managing stock allocation across multiple countries, ensuring stores are always equipped with the right products at the right time to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Benefit from flexible working opportunities within a supportive team environment that encourages knowledge sharing, personal development, and meaningful contributions to business success.

What you'll do:

As an Allocator, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of retail operations where your ability to coordinate product movement will be essential for driving store performance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working collaboratively with various internal teams—ranging from planning through logistics—to ensure that every store receives the right products at precisely the right moment.

You will be entrusted with analysing sales data, monitoring inventory health, and responding proactively to emerging trends or challenges. By maintaining close communication with your peers and contributing ideas for process enhancements, you will help shape efficient allocation strategies that keep stores well-stocked while supporting broader business goals. Your efforts will not only optimise stock levels but also enhance the overall shopping experience for customers throughout Southeast Asia and India.

  • Collaborate closely with the planning team, store teams, marketplace operations, logistics partners, and supply and inventory colleagues to ensure seamless product flow into stores across Southeast Asia and India.
  • Execute daily receipt plans and manage new season load-ins for direct retail stores, aligning with projected sales targets and promotional activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels in real-time to maximise in-stock rates while mitigating risks associated with overstocking or understocking situations.
  • Produce comprehensive weekly trade reports that analyse sales trends, identify gaps or opportunities, and drive actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain vigilant oversight of aged inventory within stores to support a healthy marketplace by implementing timely interventions as needed.
  • Work hand-in-hand with assortment planning managers and fellow allocators on weekly and seasonal deliverables that align with key consumer moments and promotional events.
  • Partner with merchandise financial planners and location planners to coordinate product flows that support strategic business objectives.
  • Contribute actively to the development and enhancement of allocation processes by collaborating with teams across different territories and head office functions.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams in distribution centres and marketplace operations to ensure alignment on inventory strategies.
  • Support ongoing process improvements by sharing feedback, participating in team discussions, and embracing best practices from across the organisation.

What you bring:

To excel as an Allocator in this organisation, you will bring proven expertise from previous roles involving retail planning or stock allocation within large-scale environments. Your educational background will ideally include relevant qualifications that underpin your analytical approach to problem-solving. You are known for your meticulous attention to detail when handling complex datasets or preparing reports that inform critical business decisions.

Your interpersonal skills allow you to build rapport quickly with colleagues from various departments—ensuring smooth coordination even during busy trading periods. Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Microsoft Excel enables you to extract meaningful insights from raw data while any experience using specialised software like Just Enough further enhances your suitability. Above all else, your ability to communicate clearly in English ensures seamless integration into multicultural teams operating across borders.

  • Demonstrated experience of at least 1-2 years in a similar planning or allocator role within a large retail environment, showcasing your understanding of complex inventory systems.
  • A university degree in Business Management and Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics or a related discipline is preferred for this position.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with high accuracy in managing data-driven tasks such as stock allocation and report generation.
  • Excellent communication skills that enable you to engage confidently with diverse cross-functional teams both locally and internationally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—particularly Excel—allowing you to efficiently analyse data sets and generate insightful reports.
  • Experience using Just Enough software is considered advantageous but not mandatory for this role.
  • High proficiency in English is required for effective collaboration across regional teams.
