Global Rice Co-Manufacturing Lead

What you'll do:

• Own commercial terms, contracts, and capacity allocation across all co-manufacturing partners within the food manufacturing value-add network, ensuring alignment with global supply chain priorities.
• Hold decision rights on partner onboarding, exit strategies, and network segmentation to optimise performance and support expansion into new categories or regions.
• Lead costing and contract negotiations from the cost & contract phase onward in partnership with Procurement, incorporating should-cost model input into commercial strategy.
• Chair quarterly business reviews against partner scorecards, holding accountability for ongoing supply and top-to-top engagement with external manufacturing partners.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and joint capacity planning with co-manufacturing partners to enhance operational efficiency and support global growth objectives.
• Feed co-manufacturing capacity into the global S&OP cycle by partnering with Planning & S&OP support as well as the Supply Planning Manager.
• Act as the accountable point of contact for Commercial & R&D teams as internal customers, delivering against product briefs and forecasts while supporting trials and qualification of new products.
• Escalate raw material or packaging substitution proposals to the Technical Process Engineer for sign-off on food safety compliance across co-manufacturing sites.
• Lead identification, contracting, and onboarding of new co-manufacturing partners in collaboration with Procurement and Technical Process Engineering teams.
• Support expansion of the co-manufacturing network into new categories or regions over time in line with the organisation’s global growth strategy.

What you bring:

• Senior experience in supply chain management or manufacturing operations within FMCG or food manufacturing environments is highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial contracts and managing supplier or partner performance within outsourced or co-manufacturing networks.
• Proven ability operating effectively in a matrixed organisation with dotted-line relationships across regions and functions.
• Experience chairing governance forums such as quarterly business reviews using scorecard data to drive decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, food science or related discipline is required; further qualifications in procurement or commercial management are advantageous.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with effective negotiation skills that foster collaborative outcomes among diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to hold accountability across multiple concurrent relationships while maintaining dependable communication channels between internal teams (Procurement, Technical Process Engineering, Planning & S&OP support) and external partners.
• Comfortable escalating technical proposals for process validation or food safety compliance through appropriate channels.
