Data Centre Operations Manager

Our client is a leading firm, looking to on-board a DC Operations Manager to their team. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of critical power and cooling infrastructure while driving operational excellence, technical governance, and asset lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of hyperscale data center facilities.
• Manage and develop critical facilities engineering teams.
• Oversee electrical and mechanical infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
• Drive technical governance, operational standards, and best practices across the site.
• Manage commissioning activities for new infrastructure and capacity expansions.
• Ensure effective lifecycle management of critical assets.
• Support capacity planning, maintenance strategies, and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Maintain operational readiness across power, cooling, and control systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience within hyperscale data center operations.
• Proven people management and leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Critical power systems
  • Mechanical and cooling infrastructure
  • Reliability engineering
  • CPOS / Building Controls
  • Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) systems
• Strong commissioning and critical facilities operations experience.
• Experience driving technical governance and operational standards.
• Track record managing data center asset lifecycle programs.
• Willing to travel.
