Critical Facilities Engineer (Data Centre Operations)

Our client is a leading firm seeking an experienced engineer to support a highly resilient technical environment where uptime, reliability and operational excellence are critical. This position offers exposure to complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure, requiring a hands-on individual who enjoys troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and operational oversight.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Monitor and maintain critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Investigate alarms, faults and equipment abnormalities
• Support the operation of power distribution, cooling and backup systems
• Ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently and within required standards
• Participate in incident response and recovery activities
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers

What We're Looking For:

• Experience operating mission-critical or high-availability facilities
• Comfortable with shift work
• Strong knowledge of either electrical or mechanical systems, with working knowledge of both disciplines
• Exposure to critical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, HVAC, chilled water, switchgear or fire/life safety systems
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
• Comfortable working within structured operational and maintenance procedures
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
