Head of Strategic Communications & PR
A leading facilities management organisation is seeking a Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing to drive a transformative shift in how the company is perceived both internally and externally. This newly created leadership role offers you the unique opportunity to shape the public identity of an organisation that plays a pivotal role in supporting hundreds of thousands of residents, yet has traditionally operated behind the scenes. With direct sponsorship from senior leadership, you will be empowered to build a strong, differentiated corporate identity, elevate brand visibility, and position the company as a trusted thought leader in facilities management and future-ready urban living. If you are passionate about building trust, fostering community connections, and influencing industry conversations at a national scale, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.
What you'll do:
As Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing, you will play an instrumental role in redefining how this essential facilities management provider is viewed by both internal teams and external audiences. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre on designing forward-thinking strategies that not only elevate brand awareness but also foster genuine connections with residents, stakeholders, government bodies, and industry partners. You will have the mandate to create compelling stories around urban living innovations while ensuring that every message reflects the organisation’s values of trustworthiness and community focus. By collaborating closely with senior leaders and guiding your own team of communications professionals, you will ensure that every campaign or initiative supports broader business objectives. Success in this role means leaving a legacy where your work directly influences how facilities management is understood—and valued—across Singapore.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy designed to reposition the organisation’s brand and public narrative for maximum visibility and trust.
- Define and articulate a clear corporate voice that aligns with long-term organisational goals while ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
- Establish the company as a thought leader in facilities management, sustainability, and future-ready estates by crafting narratives that highlight innovation in urban living and community engagement.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders such as Town Councils, government agencies, media representatives, and community partners to foster mutual understanding and cooperation.
- Lead proactive media engagement initiatives as well as reactive crisis communication responses to safeguard reputation and maintain public confidence.
- Design frameworks for managing issues, handling public feedback sensitively, and mitigating reputational risks through transparent communication practices.
- Oversee integrated campaigns across digital, social, and traditional platforms to enhance storytelling efforts that boost visibility, engagement, and stakeholder trust.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on all matters related to communications strategy, positioning, and reputation management.
- Build and mentor a high-performing communications team dedicated to delivering impactful results while nurturing an inclusive culture of open dialogue.
- Embed robust communication practices throughout the organisation by championing knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
What you bring:
To excel as Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing, your background should reflect significant experience leading large-scale communications programmes within complex organisations—ideally those operating in public sector or regulated industries. Your ability to navigate sensitive stakeholder landscapes will be matched by your talent for distilling complex information into accessible messages that inspire trust. You will bring not only technical expertise but also emotional intelligence; your collaborative style will help unite cross-functional teams around shared goals. Experience developing thought leadership content on topics such as sustainability or urban innovation will set you apart. Above all else, your commitment to transparency, empathy in communication, and dedication to nurturing professional growth within your team will ensure your success in this influential position.
- At least 15 years’ experience in corporate communications, public affairs or related fields with proven expertise in brand transformation projects within complex environments.
- Demonstrated success in reputation management initiatives that have shifted perceptions among diverse stakeholder groups including government agencies or regulated industries.
- Deep familiarity with Singapore’s media landscape coupled with established networks across relevant sectors such as infrastructure or built environment.
- Exceptional ability to translate intricate operational or policy topics into clear narratives that engage both technical experts and lay audiences alike.
- Experience working within multi-stakeholder settings where sensitivity to differing perspectives is crucial for building consensus.
- Track record of developing thought leadership content on themes like sustainability, urban development or community engagement is highly desirable.
- Balanced approach combining strategic vision with hands-on executional skills necessary for driving change at both tactical and organisational levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration across departments while nurturing positive relationships externally.
- Proven capability in crisis communication planning including issue identification frameworks for timely response management.
- Experience mentoring teams towards high performance while fostering an inclusive environment based on knowledge sharing.
What sets this company apart:
The company fosters an environment where collaboration is encouraged at every level; you’ll find yourself supported by colleagues who share your passion for making a difference in people’s everyday lives.
