A leading legal services organisation in Singapore is seeking a People Advisor to become the welcoming face of their People function. What you'll do:

As a People Advisor, Legal Sector based in Singapore, you will immerse yourself in every aspect of people operations within a respected legal services organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing employee lifecycle processes from onboarding through exit interviews while maintaining accurate records in the People database. You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams such as Rewards & Benefits, Learning & Development, Resourcing and Diversity & Inclusion committees to ensure employees receive comprehensive support throughout their journey. Regulatory compliance will be central to your role as you work closely with legal managers on formal alliance matters and facilitate applications for practising certificates. You will also lead early careers initiatives by coordinating recruitment pipelines for vacation schemes and traineeships while building strong connections with educational institutions. Your ability to nurture relationships across internal networks will help create an engaging environment where diversity is celebrated and every employee feels valued.

  • Manage all aspects of People operations across the employee lifecycle, including employment contracts, onboarding, induction processes, payroll coordination, confirmation of employment details, references, probation reviews, secondments logistics, leaver letters and exit interviews.
  • Maintain and update the People database with accuracy, ensuring comprehensive records for personal data, annual leave tracking and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate closely with Rewards and Benefits teams to enrol new joiners in benefits schemes and provide guidance on People policies.
  • Act as a bridge between employees and management by regularly catching up with staff members, escalating concerns when necessary and offering empathetic support.
  • Work alongside Learning & Development teams to coordinate training activities for employees and support their continuous growth.
  • Assist Resourcing teams with recruitment efforts for lawyers and business services professionals by screening CVs, arranging interviews and extending offers.
  • Partner with internal Diversity & Inclusion committees to foster employee engagement around diversity initiatives and maintain an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Support regulatory compliance by liaising with General Counsel and Risk Managers on matters related to Formal Law Alliance establishment; administer applications submitted to regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure lawyers and employees have the right to practise by assisting with obtaining or renewing practising certificates; stay updated on changes in Employment Law or local regulations.
  • Lead operational planning for Early Careers programmes including vacation scheme recruitment, onboarding trainees, seat rotations and qualification processes; build relationships with universities for recruitment events.

  • Bachelor’s degree coupled with at least three years’ human resources experience ideally gained within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Deep understanding of People operations processes paired with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities enabling you to interact comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organisation.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience demonstrating your capacity to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also being dependable when working independently as required.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, prioritisation and time management skills allowing you to manage competing demands efficiently.
