What you'll do:

As a Human Resources Business Partner in this vibrant foodservice distribution setting, you will immerse yourself in both strategic planning and hands-on execution. You will have the autonomy to design impactful HR initiatives that address real business needs while nurturing an inclusive culture where every employee feels valued. Success in this role comes from your ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail as you drive recruitment campaigns, lead talent development efforts, champion employee engagement activities, and guide organisational change. Your influence will extend across all levels of the company as you help shape policies that reflect evolving business priorities while ensuring seamless HR operations.

  • Partner closely with the Managing Director and heads of department to provide expert guidance on all people-related matters, ensuring alignment between business goals and workforce capabilities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organisation’s commercial drivers and translate these insights into effective human resources strategies and initiatives that support overall business success.
  • Lead comprehensive workforce planning efforts across commercial, operational, and frontline teams by assessing manpower requirements, optimising productivity, and managing manpower costs effectively.
  • Design and implement recruitment and retention strategies tailored to attract top talent in a competitive market while fostering long-term employee loyalty.
  • Collaborate with business leaders on performance management processes, talent development programmes, and succession planning activities to nurture future leaders within the organisation.
  • Champion employee engagement by initiating programmes that enhance retention rates and enrich the overall employee experience across all departments.
  • Support organisational transformation by guiding change management processes, restructuring efforts, and other key initiatives as the business evolves.
  • Identify areas for improvement within existing HR practices; propose practical solutions and oversee their successful implementation throughout the company.
  • Advise management on complex employee relations issues while maintaining compliance with local employment regulations and best practices.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the local HR team on operational matters while remaining actively involved in policy review and process enhancement projects.

What you bring:

To excel as a Human Resources Business Partner in this setting, you will bring extensive experience working alongside senior leaders within fast-paced industries, preferably FMCG. Your background should demonstrate not only technical proficiency across core HR disciplines but also genuine enthusiasm for building relationships at every level.

  • Demonstrated experience as an HR Business Partner with a proven track record of partnering effectively with senior management teams and heads of department in complex organisations.
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with the ability to understand how people decisions impact broader business outcomes within fast-moving environments.
  • Background supporting mixed workforces that include both commercial professionals and operational or frontline staff across multiple functions such as sales, logistics, supply chain or manufacturing.
  • Expertise in workforce planning methodologies alongside hands-on experience designing recruitment campaigns and implementing retention strategies tailored for competitive markets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of performance management systems coupled with experience developing talent pipelines through structured learning programmes or succession planning frameworks.
  • A passion for driving employee engagement through creative initiatives that foster connection, trust, and shared purpose among diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to support organisational change by advising on restructuring projects or transformation initiatives while maintaining high levels of empathy for affected employees.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills enabling you to build rapport quickly, advise persuasively at all levels of leadership, and resolve sensitive employee relations matters diplomatically.
  • Hands-on approach to operational HR tasks including policy review, process improvement projects, and day-to-day problem solving within busy environments.
  • Adaptability in responding positively to shifting priorities or new challenges while maintaining focus on delivering results collaboratively.
