Fraud Alert

Robert Walters would like to alert you to an impersonation scam involving individuals pretending to be Robert Walters employees. Some individuals have informed us that they received local or overseas WhatsApp Texts or Calls with the callers claiming to have potential job opportunities. Please be informed that each of our recruiters has a Reg Number and you can verify the Reg Number at the MOM website: https://www.mom.gov.sg/eservices/services/employment-agencies-and-personnel-search

Voice phishing is a typical scammer’s tactic to trick unsuspecting individuals to reveal personal or confidential information over the phone.

Here at Robert Walters, we take such incidents seriously. Individuals should be careful with revealing personal and confidential information over the phone to unverified parties. We therefore ask that you exercise utmost caution and to verify the identity of the caller.

What You Should Do If You Receive Such Messages

To safeguard yourself, please be extra careful when you receive an unsolicited message or all other forms of communication asking you to provide confidential or personal information. Under no circumstances should you give personal information including full name to third parties SMS, WhatsApp or any other communication platforms unless you have verified the authenticity of such requests. Should you find the caller to be suspicious, please delete and block the caller on the WhatsApp platform.

How to Verify Authenticity of Message

If you have received a suspicious text message or phone call purportedly from Robert Walters Singapore, please verify the Recruiter’s Reg Number or you may call our hotline at 6228 0200 to verify the authenticity of the user. Do not respond to them or click on any hyperlink.

In the case of suspicious phone calls, you should request for the caller’s full name, telephone number and Reg Number.

All our job listings are available on Robert Walters website, LinkedIn and JobStreet with the Recruiter’s Reg Number, and our Company EA License number published. Do verify the job openings mentioned by the sender against those listed on our website if you have any doubts.

Job scams are on the rise and job seekers are advised to be cautious and do their due diligence before responding to unsolicited messages. We continue to maintain the highest level of IT security and wish to emphasize that this hoax is not the result of any compromise to the security of Robert Walters systems.
