Save job

A leading organisation in Singapore is seeking a Head of Enterprise Risk Management to spearhead the transformation and enhancement of its risk management framework across both corporate and operational levels. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape the future of risk governance, working closely with senior leadership and frontline teams to embed robust risk practices throughout the business.

What you'll do:

As Head of Enterprise Risk Management, you will play an integral part in shaping the organisation’s approach to risk at every level.

  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance the enterprise-wide risk management framework to ensure alignment with organisational strategy, risk appetite, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee comprehensive identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of risks spanning strategic, operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational domains.
  • Support the Board, Audit & Risk Committee, and executive management by delivering timely risk reports and forward-looking analyses that inform critical decisions.
  • Review and oversee insurance strategies to guarantee adequacy, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with identified enterprise risks.
  • Embed risk management practices into operational processes by developing tailored frameworks for specific business units.
  • Work collaboratively with business leaders to integrate risk considerations into service delivery models, contract management processes, and major organisational initiatives.
  • Guide teams on managing shared accountability and statutory responsibilities within complex operating environments.
  • Champion a strong risk culture by promoting ownership, awareness, and accountability through targeted training programmes and engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management teams by balancing commercial objectives with sound risk control measures.
  • Partner closely with Quality Assurance and Internal Audit functions to ensure consistency in control testing, assurance activities, and translation of audit findings into actionable improvements.

What you bring:

To excel as Head of Enterprise Risk Management in this organisation, you will bring substantial leadership experience from roles dedicated to enterprise-level risk oversight or related disciplines such as audit or governance.

  • Extensive experience in senior roles focused on risk management, governance, audit or control within complex organisations.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks as well as governance practices and assurance models relevant to large-scale businesses.
  • Proven track record engaging effectively with boards of directors, senior executives, regulators, and multiple stakeholders across diverse operating environments.
  • Professional qualifications in areas such as risk management (e.g., CRMA), accounting (e.g., CPA or CA), audit (e.g., CIA), or equivalent credentials are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional ability to influence outcomes without direct authority by building consensus among operational leaders and service delivery teams.
  • Pragmatic mindset oriented towards balancing rigorous discipline in risk processes with practical business realities encountered on the ground.
  • Outstanding communication skills enabling you to distil complex issues into clear recommendations for action at all organisational levels.
  • Demonstrated integrity coupled with independence of thought and sound judgement when navigating sensitive or high-stakes situations.
  • Experience guiding organisations through transformation initiatives involving new operating models or system implementations is advantageous.
