Relationship Manager, International Clients (Hong Kong Market)

Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Maximise new business opportunities, acquire new clients, and deepen relationships with existing customers within the Priority Clients segment while adhering to specified service standards.
- Financial Advisory: Conduct professional, consultative financial analysis and profiling sessions with customers to understand and meet their financial needs and objectives.
- Market Insights: Provide regular updates on market trends and analysis of local and international financial products to foster deeper client relationships.
- Sales Planning: Collaborate with team managers to develop monthly plans aimed at achieving or exceeding sales targets for new business acquisition and customer retention.
- Marketing & Promotions: Participate in marketing campaigns and promotional activities designed to attract new customers.
- Prospecting & Referrals: Source individual prospects and solicit referrals from internal stakeholders such as relationship managers, staff, or other departments.
- After-Sales Service: Deliver efficient, high-quality after-sales services to ensure client satisfaction.
- Retention Strategies: Implement anti-attrition measures to retain existing clients effectively.
- Presentations & Outreach: Organise and conduct sales presentations for groups, clubs, associations, companies, and other organisations.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to money laundering prevention procedures by reporting any suspicious activity to the relevant monitoring unit. Ensure compliance with all regulations set by internal policies and external regulatory authorities.
- Delivery of agreed service standards to customers.
- Compliance with operational controls and sales guidelines.
- Maintain awareness of the organisation's business strategy and sales model relevant to the role.
- Stay informed about the broader business environment, economic conditions, and market trends impacting the organisation.
- Execute sales targets effectively while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders such as relationship managers from other regions, third-party referral channels, and operations teams to achieve shared goals.
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance requirements governed by regulatory authorities such as MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore).
- Maintain awareness of the regulatory framework governing the role and ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and organisational policies.
- Uphold exemplary conduct by living out the organisation's values and code of conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding high ethical standards in all aspects of work, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and codes of conduct.
- Lead efforts within the team to achieve fair outcomes for clients while mitigating risks related to financial crime compliance and conduct matters.
- Collaborate closely with Treasury, Investment Specialists, Insurance Specialists, Relationship Managers from other regions, referral channels, and operations teams.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of core concepts in wealth management and banking processes.
- Excellent communication skills to handle internal and external stakeholders.
- Relevant CMFAS certifications attained (e.g., Modules 5/8/9).
- Experience managing offshore banking clients.
- Minimally 5 years of experience in banking or related fields.
- Educational background in finance-related studies focusing on financial planning, portfolio reviews, or asset allocation strategies.
