This role focuses on building and strengthening relationships with affluent clients by delivering personalised financial solutions and high-quality advisory support. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their financial goals, provide relevant market insights, and support business growth through relationship development and client acquisition initiatives.

Our client, a global and well established banking corporation, is actively seeking for a seasoned professional to join their Wealth Banking division as a Business Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management & Business Development

  • Build, manage, and deepen relationships with affluent clients while maintaining high service standards.
  • Conduct consultative financial needs analysis and client profiling to understand individual goals and recommend suitable banking and wealth management solutions.
  • Provide clients with timely updates on market developments and insights into local and international financial products and investment trends.
  • Develop and execute business development plans in collaboration with team leadership to support customer acquisition and portfolio growth objectives.
  • Participate in marketing, networking, and promotional activities to enhance brand presence and attract new clients.
  • Identify and engage prospective clients through various business development channels.
  • Deliver responsive and effective post-sales support to ensure a positive client experience.
  • Support client retention initiatives by maintaining regular engagement and delivering value-added relationship management.
  • Prepare and conduct financial presentations and educational sessions for corporate groups, associations, and other organisations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify referral opportunities and deliver holistic solutions to clients.

Risk, Governance & Compliance

  • Uphold strong ethical standards and demonstrate professional conduct in all client and business interactions.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and support the resolution of risk, compliance, and conduct-related matters.
  • Contribute to a culture of integrity, accountability, and responsible banking practices.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support organisational initiatives, brand values, and business objectives across relevant functions.
  • Undertake additional duties and cross-functional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in client acquisition, relationship management, or business development within banking, wealth management, or financial services.
  • Experience managing relationships with affluent or high-net-worth clients is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of consumer banking and wealth management products, including investments, treasury products, funds, and insurance solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Established professional networks and market knowledge relevant to the target client segment are beneficial.
