An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Client Implementation KYC Analyst to join a prestigious private bank in Singapore.

This role offers you the chance to play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless client onboarding, working closely with Relationship Managers and compliance teams to deliver an exceptional experience for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. You will be at the forefront of maintaining rigorous standards in due diligence, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, all while supporting process enhancements that drive efficiency and client satisfaction.

  • Be the key point of contact for Relationship Managers during the onboarding process, ensuring smooth communication and accurate KYC submissions.
  • Work in a collaborative environment that values knowledge sharing, ongoing training opportunities, and flexible working arrangements to support your career progression.
  • Contribute directly to process improvements and regulatory projects that enhance both client experience and operational efficiency within a leading private bank.

What you'll do:

As a Client Implementation KYC Analyst based in Singapore, you will play a central role in facilitating the seamless integration of new clients into the bank’s private wealth platform. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting meticulous due diligence checks on both individual and corporate clients, ensuring all documentation is thoroughly reviewed for accuracy and completeness.

  • Conduct comprehensive Know Your Customer due diligence on new individual and corporate clients by reviewing and validating essential documents such as passports, proof of address, corporate records, trust deeds, and source of wealth statements.
  • Perform thorough background screening using internal tools and third-party databases to identify any potential red flags including politically exposed persons, sanctions exposure, or adverse media hits.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Relationship Managers throughout the client onboarding journey, providing guidance on KYC requirements and ensuring complete and accurate documentation is submitted.
  • Ensure timely onboarding of clients by coordinating with front office teams while maintaining strict adherence to internal service level agreements and compliance standards.
  • Accurately input and maintain client data within internal systems such as Avaloq and CRM platforms, updating KYC profiles and risk ratings as required during the onboarding process.
  • Support ongoing quality assurance reviews as well as internal and external audits related to onboarding activities and KYC files by maintaining robust records and audit trails.
  • Ensure all onboarding actions comply with anti-money laundering laws, FATCA/CRS requirements, sanctions regulations, and internal policies to mitigate risk effectively.
  • Propose workflow enhancements that improve efficiency and elevate the overall client experience by participating in projects related to process upgrades or regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate closely with compliance teams to escalate issues promptly and resolve queries related to KYC or onboarding documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments affecting client onboarding processes within private banking.

What you bring:

To excel as a Client Implementation KYC Analyst, you will bring proven expertise from previous roles focused on KYC or AML processes within private banking or wealth management settings. Your educational background will provide you with a solid understanding of financial regulations while your practical experience ensures you are adept at handling sensitive information discreetly.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field demonstrating strong academic grounding relevant to private banking operations.
  • Three to six years of hands-on experience in KYC or anti-money laundering roles within private banking or wealth management environments.
  • Proven track record supporting the onboarding of high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients with sensitivity to their unique needs.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese would be highly advantageous when dealing with Mandarin and Cantonese speaking clients based in North Asia.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills enabling effective collaboration with front office teams, compliance professionals, and other departments.
  • Exceptional time management abilities allowing you to handle high volumes of work efficiently while meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Outstanding organisational skills paired with attention to detail for accurate data entry and maintenance of client records across multiple platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills fostering positive relationships with colleagues from various backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work dependably both independently and as part of a team within a fast-evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications alongside familiarity with core banking platforms such as Avaloq or similar screening tools.
