With a supportive leadership structure and opportunities for professional growth, this role is perfect for individuals looking to further their career in financial services operations.

  • Join a respected financial institution with a strong presence in the Asia-Pacific region, offering you the chance to work alongside knowledgeable colleagues who are committed to operational excellence.
  • Enjoy a collaborative environment where your interpersonal skills and positive attitude will be recognised and rewarded, fostering both personal and professional development.
  • Benefit from clear processes, disciplined controls, and opportunities for extension beyond the initial contract period, providing stability and room for growth within the organisation.

What you'll do:

As a Cash Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for executing critical cash operations while maintaining rigorous standards of accuracy and timeliness. Your role involves monitoring exceptions raised by offshore teams, updating procedural documentation as business needs evolve, and managing relationships across various departments. Success in this position requires you to consistently apply controls, escalate issues appropriately, and ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines. You will also contribute to ongoing process improvements by sharing your insights during team discussions. Your ability to adapt quickly to new mandates or activities will be essential as you help onboard changes into established workflows. The role demands a proactive approach to risk management and control discipline while fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual support.

  • Execute time-critical cash operations including GIRO, Standing Orders, DDA/DCA, Cash Counter Services, as well as ad-hoc operational tasks with high accuracy and timeliness.
  • Apply established controls and disciplined escalation procedures to ensure daily processing activities meet internal standards and industry guidelines.
  • Monitor exceptions escalated from offshore teams through a governance support model, resolving issues promptly in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation to reflect changes in business mandates or operational requirements.
  • Manage effective working relationships with Front Office staff, internal stakeholders, and external counterparties to facilitate smooth transaction processing.
  • Ensure all transactions and communications are processed in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support risk management initiatives by identifying potential areas of concern and implementing appropriate control measures.
  • Contribute to team discussions on process improvements, sharing insights gained from day-to-day operations to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and collaborate closely with colleagues to achieve shared goals within tight deadlines.
  • Assist with onboarding new activities or mandates by adapting existing procedures and providing feedback on implementation challenges.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Cash Operations Analyst position brings proven experience from financial services organisations—particularly those operating across multiple functions or locations within Asia-Pacific. Your educational background ensures you have the theoretical foundation needed for complex operational tasks. Whether you are an experienced professional or a recent graduate from one of Singapore’s top universities with relevant internships under your belt, your analytical abilities will enable you to resolve issues efficiently.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is required for this position, ensuring you possess the foundational knowledge necessary for success.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a financial services organisation with proven exposure to cash operations processes across functions and locations in the Asia-Pacific region is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse issues thoroughly, take ownership of tasks, and drive problem resolution using established procedures is essential.
  • Strong technical understanding of operations products combined with commercial awareness of end-to-end operational processes will set you apart from other candidates.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a time-critical environment with tight deadlines is crucial for success in this role.
  • Proven capability to manage complexity and ambiguity while maintaining focus on risk management initiatives is highly valued by the team.
  • A positive attitude coupled with strong teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset are fundamental attributes sought by the hiring manager.
  • Prior experience in Operations and Control functions within financial services is considered an added advantage but not mandatory for application.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required for managing relationships with internal stakeholders, front office staff, and external counterparties.
