What you'll do:

As a Trade Processing Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of trade transactions within an investment management environment. Your day-to-day activities will involve monitoring trade flows, confirming bookings, handling cancellations or amendments, instructing counterparties and custodians, and ensuring accurate FX netting. You will collaborate closely with various internal departments—such as Investment Managers, Legal, Risk Management—and external partners including brokers and custodians..

  • Undertake daily transaction processing duties while providing coverage during periods of high volumes or unexpected absences, ensuring continuity and reliability within the team.
  • Follow defined standards, procedures, and policies meticulously, identifying potential efficiencies that can enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Meet all deadlines and deliverables consistently, both individually and as part of a co-operative team environment.
  • Escalate exceptions and issues promptly to relevant leaders, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining trust across departments.
  • Review processes and procedures regularly to identify areas for improvement that maximise efficiency and effectiveness within trade operations.
  • Develop positive working relationships with other departments such as Investment Managers, Legal, Risk Management, Distribution, Finance, HR, as well as third-party service providers.
  • Monitor trade flow closely to confirm successful processing of transaction bookings, cancellations, amendments, and ensure necessary instructions are sent to counterparties and custodians.
  • Ensure FX netting processes result in eligible FXs being closed efficiently with netting trades instructed appropriately.
  • Confirm all trades accurately and ensure they are successfully sent to market; check and authorise supporting documentation when required.
  • Resolve breaks and failing trades promptly by liaising with internal teams and external groups; investigate debit interest or claims thoroughly for validation.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Trade Processing Analyst position brings proven experience from either an investment management firm or an investment bank. Your expertise covers trade instruction protocols—from confirmations through settlements—and extends across multiple instrument types including those found in emerging markets.

  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in transaction processing within an investment management firm or an investment bank is required for this role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trade instruction processes including confirmation protocols, fails management, settlements procedures is essential.
  • Robust understanding of all instrument types with particular familiarity with emerging markets enhances your suitability for this position.
  • Competence in using data-rich systems such as portfolio accounting platforms along with industry standard infrastructure is expected.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills allow you to document processes clearly and communicate effectively across departments.
