  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer in preparing, finalising, and presenting management accounts for the group, ensuring accuracy and timely consolidation of subsidiary results.
  • Contribute actively to month-end and year-end financial close processes by coordinating data collection, reconciliation, and reporting activities across business units.
  • Liaise effectively with external auditors and advisors during audit cycles, ensuring all documentation is prepared accurately and queries are addressed promptly.
  • Support the implementation of formalised controls and processes within the finance function, documenting procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee or manage outsourcing arrangements for key processes such as tax compliance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other essential bookkeeping tasks.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining up-to-date financial records in accordance with statutory requirements while ensuring best practices are followed throughout all workflows.
  • Provide quality financial information that supports executive decision-making by delivering clear reports, insightful analysis, and recommendations based on robust data.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to support business objectives through effective communication of financial insights.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function by reviewing existing workflows and suggesting enhancements that drive efficiency.

What you bring:

To excel as Finance Manager in this organisation, you will bring proven experience from both practice-based roles—ideally within private client or financial services teams—and industry settings where exposure to complex jurisdictions has been beneficial.

  • Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification combined with a university degree in accounting or related field is required for this position.
  • Experience gained within an accounting firm—particularly those serving private clients/business services or financial services teams—is highly regarded.
  • Exposure to financial services environments either through professional services or industry roles will be viewed favourably when considering applicants.
  • Demonstrated technical accounting proficiency with meticulous attention to detail ensures accuracy across all reporting activities.
  • Aptitude for constructively challenging existing processes while confidently taking ownership of improvements is essential for success in this evolving role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to engage thoughtfully with investors, stakeholders, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Commercial awareness paired with a genuine interest in investment markets and funds management supports broader business objectives.
  • Highly organised approach allows you to manage competing priorities efficiently within a dynamic setting where adaptability is valued.
  • Collaborative mindset ensures you thrive as part of a team while also being comfortable working independently when required.
  • Motivation to grow beyond traditional accounting responsibilities aligns perfectly with the opportunities available in this expanding role.
