FP&A (Contract)
This role offers you the chance to work closely with the Head of FP&A, supporting global finance operations and playing a pivotal part in implementing policies, systems, and programmes within a rapidly evolving environment. What you'll do:
For the FP&A (Contract) position, you will play an integral role in supporting the finance team’s global operations from the Singapore office.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of monthly operating expenditure by comparing actual spending against budgeted figures for management reporting purposes, engaging with business unit leaders to analyse variances and investigate discrepancies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend efficiency improvements as part of ongoing efforts to optimise operating expenditure budgets while maintaining operational excellence across the organisation.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of financial models used for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, ensuring accuracy and relevance in support of business objectives.
- Assist in preparing regular financial reports and detailed analyses that inform key business decisions, providing actionable insights through clear data interpretation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and execute financial planning and analysis operational projects, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and accurate reporting of outcomes.
- Analyse project financials by identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, offering recommendations that drive better resource allocation and project success.
- Respond promptly to ad-hoc finance-related inquiries from various stakeholders by providing accurate information and supporting the finance team in day-to-day activities as required.
- Participate actively in cross-functional projects and initiatives that have significant financial implications for the organisation, delivering expert analysis to contribute to successful outcomes.
What you bring:
To excel as a FP&A (Contract) position, you will bring a solid educational background in finance or accounting along with hands-on experience interpreting complex datasets.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is essential for understanding complex financial concepts relevant to this role.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with a proven ability to translate intricate data sets into actionable insights that support organisational objectives.
- Proficiency in using advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP is required for effective data analysis and model building.
- Excellent communication abilities combined with strong interpersonal skills enable you to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across multiple departments.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensures accuracy in all aspects of reporting, modelling, and variance analysis while meeting tight deadlines consistently.
