Analyst, Regulatory Reporting & Analytics (1 year)
You will be at the forefront of regulatory compliance by preparing and submitting key reports to regulatory authorities with accuracy and timeliness. What you'll do:
As an Analyst, Regulatory Reporting and Analytics based in Singapore on a one-year contract, you will play an integral role in supporting the organisation’s commitment to regulatory excellence.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive regulatory reports to relevant authorities such as MAS and BNM, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and delivered within required deadlines.
- Validate and reconcile complex data sets from multiple sources including data warehouses and general ledgers, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity throughout the reporting process.
- Monitor ongoing regulatory changes, assess their implications for current reporting requirements, and proactively adapt processes to remain compliant with evolving standards.
- Support both internal and external audits as well as regulatory reviews by providing thorough documentation, clear explanations, and timely responses to queries.
- Collaborate closely with IT and compliance teams to enhance existing reporting processes and systems, driving improvements that increase efficiency and reliability.
- Identify data quality issues promptly, investigate root causes, resolve discrepancies where possible, and escalate unresolved matters appropriately for further action.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining reporting workflows, reducing manual intervention, and increasing overall operational effectiveness.
- Liaise effectively with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders to ensure transparent communication regarding reporting matters.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in regulatory reporting and analytics to contribute fresh perspectives to team discussions.
- Participate actively in training sessions or workshops designed to enhance understanding of new regulations or system upgrades.
What you bring:
To excel as an Analyst, Regulatory Reporting and Analytics in this role, your background should reflect solid experience within financial services—particularly in areas involving regulatory or financial reporting.
- A degree in Banking, Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field that demonstrates your foundational understanding of financial principles.
- At least three years’ experience in regulatory reporting or financial reporting roles within the banking or finance sector.
- A robust knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards relevant to Singapore’s financial industry.
- Proficiency in Excel for advanced data analysis tasks as well as SQL for querying large datasets efficiently.
- Excellent analytical abilities paired with strong problem-solving skills that enable you to interpret complex data accurately.
- Outstanding organisational skills that help you manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines under pressure.
- Clear communication skills allowing you to liaise effectively with regulators, auditors, IT professionals, and internal stakeholders alike.
- Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviews by providing precise documentation and articulate explanations when required.
- A proven ability to identify data quality issues quickly and take appropriate steps towards resolution or escalation as needed.
- Familiarity with MAS returns is considered highly advantageous for this position.
