An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Tax Manager to join a globally recognised technology leader in Singapore, supporting the APAC tax function across a diverse range of international tax, advisory, compliance, and business partnering activities.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly collaborative and technology-driven environment, where your expertise will directly influence business expansion, product launches, and ongoing tax projects spanning multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with regional and global stakeholders, ensuring that the organisation remains at the forefront of regulatory change and best practice in tax governance. If you are looking for a position that offers exposure to complex international operations, opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and the chance to make a tangible impact on strategic initiatives, this is the perfect next step in your career.

  • Play a pivotal role in shaping tax strategy and compliance across APAC entities while working alongside knowledgeable professionals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Enjoy flexible working opportunities within an inclusive team culture that values knowledge sharing, professional growth, and supportive leadership.
  • Gain exposure to high-profile projects including new market expansion, product launches, and cutting-edge tax technology initiatives.

What you'll do:

As a Tax Manager based in Singapore, you will be instrumental in driving the success of the APAC tax function through your involvement in a wide array of responsibilities. Your day-to-day activities will see you engaging with various teams across the organisation—ranging from finance to engineering—to provide expert guidance on direct and indirect taxes. You will play an essential part in evaluating legislative changes such as BEPS Pillar 2 developments while ensuring all systems and processes remain compliant with current regulations. Your ability to review complex filings prepared by external partners will be crucial for maintaining high standards of accuracy. Additionally, you will contribute significantly to cross-border transaction structuring and investment reviews while participating in audits or responding to regulatory queries. By collaborating on governance initiatives and offering practical advice to non-tax colleagues, you will help foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

  • Provide comprehensive support for direct and indirect tax matters across APAC entities by managing advisory, compliance, and reporting activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate closely with business, finance, legal, treasury, public policy, operations, and engineering teams to assess tax implications related to product launches, new market entries, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Monitor changes in international tax legislation such as BEPS Pillar 2 developments and evaluate their impact on regional operations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Assist in implementing system enhancements, process improvements, and policy updates that align with evolving regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support structuring of cross-border transactions and investment reviews by providing practical guidance on international tax considerations.
  • Participate actively in tax audits and manage queries from tax authorities or government agencies to safeguard the organisation’s interests.
  • Review corporate income tax returns, GST/VAT filings, and other compliance documents prepared by external advisors or shared service teams for accuracy and completeness.
  • Contribute to the preparation of tax provisions and documentation required for both regional and global reporting purposes.
  • Engage in tax governance initiatives by collaborating on internal controls and continuous process improvement projects that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to deliver clear and practical tax advice tailored for non-tax professionals involved in business decision-making processes.

What you bring:

To excel as a Tax Manager in this role, you will bring extensive experience from either multinational corporations or leading professional services firms where you have developed deep technical knowledge of both corporate and international taxation. Your background should include significant exposure to APAC markets—enabling you to navigate complex regulatory landscapes confidently. You are adept at managing relationships across multiple departments while communicating intricate concepts clearly to non-specialists. Your proven ability to handle cross-border transactions ensures that you can provide valuable insights during periods of organisational growth or change. Experience working on projects involving BEPS Pillar 2 or similar regulatory frameworks demonstrates your commitment to staying ahead of industry trends. Furthermore, your comfort operating autonomously within dynamic settings allows you to respond swiftly when priorities shift. A collaborative mindset paired with meticulous attention to detail ensures that every aspect of compliance meets the highest standards while contributing positively towards broader business objectives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related discipline is required along with professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA or Accredited Tax Practitioner being highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 8–15 years’ experience in corporate or international tax gained within multinational corporations or Big 4 environments is essential for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in APAC tax advisory services as well as hands-on experience with international structuring and regional compliance matters is expected.
  • Proven track record handling cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions is necessary for effective performance.
  • Familiarity with BEPS Pillar 2 developments along with experience participating in tax transformation or technology-driven projects will be highly advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax reporting requirements including preparation of provisions and management of audits is important.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills combined with strong communication abilities are needed to work effectively across diverse business functions.
  • Comfort operating independently within fast-moving environments characterised by ambiguity is vital for adapting quickly to change.
  • Prior exposure to technology-driven businesses or large multinational organisations with complex international operations would be beneficial.
  • Experience supporting regional expansion projects or product launches as well as familiarity with transfer pricing concepts is preferred.
