Accountant
Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Singapore finance team. This role offers the opportunity to manage end-to-end accounting activities while supporting financial reporting, operational finance, and process improvement within a leading multinational organisation in the logistics, mobility, and business services sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in operational accounting, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and be comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.
What you'll do:
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function while ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
- Prepare customer invoices, review job costing, monitor revenue recognition, and work closely with operational teams to resolve billing and costing matters
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, financial reports, and variance analysis to support business performance and management reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and local tax regulations while maintaining accurate records for audit purposes
- Drive process improvements and strengthen finance controls to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Partner closely with finance and operational stakeholders to support business activities and ad hoc finance projects
What you bring:
To succeed in this role, you should possess strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
You will ideally have:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 2–4 years of accounting experience with exposure to end-to-end finance operations, including AR, AP, and GL
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems will be advantageous
- Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, or other reporting tools will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
