What you'll do:

As an Assistant Regional Controller Asia Pacific, you will be at the heart of finance operations within the region. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve reconciling complex financial data between SAP systems and group servers, maintaining SKU cost standards, preparing comprehensive sales reports with insightful variance analysis, and supporting monthly P&L reporting cycles. You will collaborate closely with central teams to resolve discrepancies efficiently while acting as a trusted knowledge resource on Power Query and group data servers. Your role will also include building robust templates for data collection, reviewing submissions for quality assurance, conducting ad-hoc analyses for business needs, and participating in system improvement testing. By sharing your expertise across sub-regions and facilitating coordination between teams, you will help drive financial excellence throughout the Asia Pacific area.

  • Perform reconciliation between SAP Profit & Loss statements and Group data server reports, identifying discrepancies and coordinating resolution with central teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain standard cost of SKUs as required by the business, supporting effective cost management across the region.
  • Participate actively in user acceptance testing for system improvements, collaborating closely with IT and finance teams to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Consolidate and prepare weekly sales reports, including detailed variance analysis and validation, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly actual and forecast Profit & Loss reports, processing adjustments from cluster review meetings to reflect accurate financial performance.
  • Support the Head of Controlling or Regional Controller with periodical reporting requirements and ad hoc requests, demonstrating responsiveness and reliability.
  • Analyse functional reporting outputs, identify gaps between forecasts and results, and initiate adjustment actions to optimise financial outcomes.
  • Act as regional super user for Power Query and Group data servers, serving as a key knowledge resource for colleagues across sub-regions.
  • Build and amend templates for data collection purposes, maintaining systems for cluster inputs to streamline information gathering processes.
  • Consolidate and review submitted data from various clusters for completeness and quality assurance, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required by evolving business needs, contributing to strategic projects and initiatives.
