Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to partner closely with business leaders within a growing international organisation in the industrial and construction solutions sector. This is a commercially focused role that goes beyond traditional financial reporting, with responsibility for performance management, strategic planning, financial analysis, and driving business decisions through actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded finance professional with strong experience in FP&A, controlling, or finance business partnering, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a complex, international business environment. This role is open to Singapore-based candidates who are willing to relocate overseas.

What you'll do:

As a Financial Controller, you will act as a trusted finance partner to business leadership, providing insights and financial direction to support profitable and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with senior business leaders on strategic and operational decisions, translating business priorities into financial outcomes and actionable recommendations
  • Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, and financial modelling to support business targets and strategic initiatives
  • Drive monthly performance reviews, analysing P&L performance, key business drivers, risks, and opportunities and recommending corrective actions
  • Evaluate profitability across products, customers, channels, and business segments, while supporting investment evaluations and business cases
  • Strengthen financial governance and performance management through effective controls, KPI monitoring, reporting, and resource accountability
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting tools, dashboards, and data analytics to enhance decision-making capabilities

What you bring:

To succeed in this role, you should possess strong commercial finance expertise and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.

You will ideally have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA will be advantageous
  • More than 10 years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, Controlling, Commercial Finance, or a similar function
  • Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, performance management, financial modelling, and strategic planning processes
  • Strong P&L management and financial performance steering capabilities, with a track record of influencing senior business stakeholders
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SAP, and financial planning tools
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable working independently within a fast-paced, international environment
