Financial Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its regional finance function. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing organisation operating across the alternative investments, financial services, and commodities sector, where you will oversee group finance, financial reporting, governance, and business partnering across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, regional consolidation experience, and the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

What you'll do:

As the Financial Controller, you will lead the group's finance function, ensuring robust financial governance while supporting business growth across multiple regional entities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead group consolidation, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit activities across multiple regional entities
• Oversee treasury, cash flow management, intercompany transactions, and financial controls to support business operations
• Support investment and fund-related finance activities, including portfolio reporting, investment structures, and financial performance analysis
• Partner with investment and commercial teams on transactions, strategic initiatives, and business growth opportunities
• Drive the implementation of finance systems, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting processes across the organisation
• Lead and develop the finance team while providing financial insights and management reporting to senior leadership

What you bring:

To succeed in this role, you should combine strong technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen and experience operating within a complex multinational environment.

You will ideally have:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, supported by a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA
• 7–12 years of experience in audit, group financial control, or fund finance, with prior leadership experience
• Strong experience in group consolidation, statutory reporting, treasury, and financial governance across multiple entities
• Exposure to alternative investments, private capital, commodity trading, or financial services will be highly advantageous
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities and experience using ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner effectively across regional and cross-functional teams
