Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join a dynamic organisation within the live entertainment and events industry. This role offers the opportunity to support large-scale concerts, tours, and festivals while working closely with regional finance and operational teams. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and smooth operational support across multiple projects and events. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

As an Accountant, you will support the finance function across reporting, compliance, operational finance, and live event settlements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare month-end reports, financial analysis, and reconciliations for regional finance and operational teams
• Manage daily accounting operations including data entry, payment processing, and maintenance of accurate financial records
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, US SOX regulations, SFRS/IFRS standards, and local tax requirements including GST and withholding tax
• Support concert and tour settlements, including providing on-site finance support during concerts, festivals, and live events where required
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative duties to support the wider finance team

What you bring:

To succeed in this role, you should have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and operationally driven environment.

You will ideally have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline; CPA qualification will be advantageous
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience, including multi-entity exposure and preferably regional experience
• Experience with Xero and Oracle will be an added advantage
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume transactions and meet deadlines under pressure
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-site at event venues during peak operational periods when required
