What you'll do:

As Group Finance Manager based in Singapore, you will be entrusted with broad responsibilities that span regional consolidation, financial operations oversight, team mentorship, internal controls enhancement, ERP project support, tax compliance management, new market entry assistance, stakeholder issue resolution, best practice documentation, and participation in cross-functional projects. Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with operational businesses across Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, India, Korea and more. By contributing to ongoing business transformation initiatives—whether through ERP rollouts or process redesigns—you will help shape the future of finance within this ambitious organisation.

  • Oversee the financial consolidation process across all business units in the APAC region, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in group-level reporting and audit preparation.
  • Manage intercompany accounting activities including eliminations, foreign currency translations, and group-level adjustments to maintain integrity of consolidated statements.
  • Supervise daily financial operations such as accounts receivable, general ledger management, tax matters, and ensure timely month-end closing procedures are followed.
  • Mentor and guide offshore team members by providing support in financial controllership duties, fostering their professional development through regular feedback and coaching.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce robust internal control processes to ensure compliance with relevant statutory standards and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support ERP system implementation and migration projects for entities throughout the region by collaborating with IT teams and local finance stakeholders.
  • Assist with new market entry initiatives by conducting research on financial and regulatory landscapes, helping formulate strategies for operational setup in emerging territories.
  • Manage tax reporting obligations including corporate income tax and GST compliance across various countries within the APAC region.
  • Act as the main point of contact for resolving complex issues raised by internal or external stakeholders by researching problems thoroughly and recommending effective solutions.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing business maturity through operational enhancements or technological advancements.

What you bring:

To excel as Group Finance Manager you will bring extensive experience gained from multinational organisations where you have managed group consolidations across several countries. Your expertise spans statutory reporting frameworks specific to APAC jurisdictions coupled with practical exposure to tax compliance matters.

  • You have more than six years of progressive experience in group finance roles encompassing consolidation responsibilities as well as hands-on involvement in financial operations and reporting within multinational environments.
  • Your background includes proven leadership experience managing lean teams where you have demonstrated empathy through mentoring junior staff members or guiding offshore colleagues remotely.
  • You possess strong knowledge of regional tax requirements (including corporate income tax and GST) along with statutory reporting obligations relevant to APAC markets such as Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia/New Zealand/India/Korea.
  • You have participated in implementing or enhancing financial processes—ideally including ERP migrations—and are comfortable navigating change management scenarios.
  • Your attention to detail is exceptional; you are highly organised with a dependable attitude marked by professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • You communicate clearly both verbally and in writing; your interpersonal skills enable you to build trusting relationships across cultures and functions.
  • You thrive when given autonomy yet value teamwork; you enjoy being hands-on while supporting others’ success within a collaborative framework.
  • You are resilient under pressure—capable of solving problems creatively even when faced with ambiguity or evolving priorities typical of startup or scale-up environments.
