Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Information Technology Support Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide technical support to users across Asia, contribute to major deployments and implementations of new systems, and maintain devices and applications located in Asia.
What you'll do:
As an Information Technology Support Engineer, you will be at the forefront of delivering top-notch technical support services to users across Asia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include raising high-severity incident response requests for major technology incidents, using your technical expertise to define and implement solutions that meet business needs, and assisting with IT project implementation. You will also be responsible for maintaining the comprehensiveness and accuracy of IT support information, working closely with peer Technology staff in Asia & Australia to implement & manage local IT infrastructure and regulatory applications. Your role will also involve executing IT related governance and management, providing input on technology resource requirements, and approving or rejecting local change implementation into the production environment.
Deliver first level technology support service to users in Asia
Raise high-severity incident response requests for major technology incidents
Use technical expertise and judgement to define and implement technical solutions that support business needs
Assist or undertake IT project implementation work as required
Maintain comprehensiveness and accuracy of IT support information
Work closely with peer Technology staff in Asia & Australia to implement & manage local IT infrastructure and regulatory applications
Execute IT related governance and management
Provide input on technology resource requirements
Approve or reject local change implementation into the production environment
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Information Technology Support Engineer role will bring a wealth of experience from a technology environment, with 3-5 years under their belt. You will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PC hardware, mobile devices, tablets, Zoom VC systems, soft phones, and computer peripherals like printers and scanners. Your knowledge extends to Windows Server Operation system, Active Directory, NetApp NAS filer and computer network. A solid understanding of ITIL service management standards and best practice is essential, and additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies would be a plus. You are fluent in English and the local language, and possess strong communication skills that allow you to effectively liaise with stakeholders. Your pro-active and forward-thinking approach, coupled with your strong task completion focus and customer-oriented attitude, make you an ideal fit for this role.
3-5 years’ experience in a Technology environment
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PC hardware, mobile, tablet, Zoom VC system, soft phone, and computer peripherals like printers and scanners
Knowledge and preferably hands-on experience in Windows Server Operation system, Active Directory, NetApp NAS filer and computer network
Solid knowledge in ITIL service management standards and best practice
Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies is a plus
Able to communicate fluently in English and local language
Pro-active and forward thinking and analytical skills
Strong communication with stakeholders
Strong task completion focus, able to deliver to deadlines and complete what is committed
