Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Network Engineer to join their dynamic team.
This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge Cisco products and technologies, including Cisco Nexus environment, security firepower, ASA firewall, FortiGate firewall and Cisco ISE. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of network routing and switching protocols and services, as well as experience with network monitoring tools such as OpManager. What you'll do:
As a Level 2 Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our client's network infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support for Cisco products, working closely with network monitoring tools such as OpManager. Your ability to identify, investigate, and analyse issues before they occur will be key to your success in this role. You will also provide second-level support to all incidents, identifying the root causes of incidents and problems. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to liaise effectively with other teams and clients. In addition, you will work alongside automation teams to optimise efforts and automate routine tasks.
Provide network operational and administration support for Cisco products
Work with network monitoring tools such as OpManager
Handle operational tasks to resolve all incidents/requests in a timely manner within the agreed SLA
Identify, investigate, analyse issues and errors prior to or when they occur
Provide second level support to all incidents, requests and identify the root cause of incidents and problems
Communicate effectively with other teams and clients for extending support
Work closely with automation teams for effort optimization and automating routine tasks
Establish monitoring for client infrastructure
Lead and manage all initial client escalation for operational issues
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Level 2 Network Engineer role will bring a wealth of experience in network operational and administration support, specifically with Cisco products. You will have strong knowledge of network routing and switching protocols and services, as well as experience with network monitoring tools such as OpManager. Your expertise in Cisco data center technologies, including Cisco Nexus environment, security firepower, ASA firewall, FortiGate firewall and Cisco ISE, will be highly valued. Additionally, your understanding of network security, load balancing and optimization technologies will be crucial to your success in this role. A willingness to work extended hours and perform standby duty after office hours is also required.
At least 3-5 years of experience providing network operational and administration supporting Cisco products (Routers / Switches/WLAN)
Strong knowledge of network routing and switching protocols and services
Experience with network monitoring tools such as OpManager
Strong experience in Cisco data center technologies including Cisco Nexus environment, security firepower, ASA firewall, FortiGate firewall and Cisco ISE
Knowledge of network security, load balancing and optimization technologies
Willingness to work in extended hours and perform standby duty after office hour
