An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Engagement Associate (12 months contract) to join a highly respected global healthcare organisation on a contract basis in Singapore. This role offers you the chance to make a real difference by supporting patient engagement strategies that directly impact patient outcomes and elevate the patient voice throughout all stages of drug development. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to fostering meaningful partnerships with patient organisations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to initiatives that place patients at the heart of everything they do. With a competitive salary range of S$5000 - S$8000 per month, this position provides an excellent platform for professional growth within a supportive and inclusive environment that values collaboration, empathy, and shared success.

  • Play a pivotal role in shaping patient engagement strategies that improve patient outcomes across diverse therapeutic areas, working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Enjoy flexible working opportunities and access to ongoing training and development programmes designed to support your career progression within a globally recognised healthcare leader.
  • Benefit from being part of an organisation that prioritises ethical standards, inclusivity, and the highest levels of professional integrity while offering generous pension contributions and a collaborative workplace culture.

What you'll do:
As a Patient Engagement Associate based in Singapore, you will play an integral role in advancing the organisation’s commitment to patient centricity by supporting the design and implementation of impactful engagement strategies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with various internal departments—such as Legal, Compliance, Finance—and external partners including vendors and patient organisations. You will ensure all activities adhere strictly to compliance protocols while managing contracts, budgets, timelines, and communications for multiple projects simultaneously. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing content for accuracy and compliance; securing necessary approvals; conducting research into evolving patient needs; collecting insights; and supporting the delivery of educational campaigns or awareness initiatives. By participating in community events and maintaining high standards of engagement at all times, you will help foster trust-based relationships that drive better health outcomes. Success in this role requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal abilities, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on patients’ lives.

  • Execute patient engagement activities in strict accordance with internal compliance, finance processes, and regulatory requirements, ensuring all actions reflect the highest ethical standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Legal, Compliance, and Finance departments to facilitate seamless project execution and maintain robust governance over all interactions with patient organisations.
  • Monitor adherence to both internal policies and external regulations regarding collaborations with patient organisations, delivering projects efficiently while upholding quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough contract reviews and manage budget tracking for multiple concurrent projects, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency at every stage.
  • Oversee project timelines and maintain clear communications with vendors providing services on specific patient engagement initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.
  • Review content developed by the Patient Engagement team for accuracy, relevance, and compliance before dissemination to stakeholders or publication on internal platforms.
  • Ensure all necessary Medical-Legal-Review (eMLR) approvals are secured for patient-related materials prior to release or use in campaigns.
  • Support systematic insight generation from patients, caregivers, and patient organisations by organising data collection activities that inform drug development from pre-clinical through post-launch phases.
  • Perform desktop research as needed to deepen understanding of patients’ needs and monitor key activities within the broader healthcare landscape.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for meetings with patient organisations, participate in community-led events such as conferences or webinars, and contribute content to internal knowledge-sharing platforms.

What you bring:
To excel as a Patient Engagement Associate in this forward-thinking healthcare organisation based in Singapore, you will bring proven experience working within complex environments where collaboration across multiple teams is key. Your background may include roles involving event coordination or project management—ideally within healthcare or related sectors—where you have demonstrated your ability to manage competing priorities without compromising quality or compliance. Your interpersonal strengths will enable you to build rapport quickly with both internal colleagues and external partners such as patient organisations. A deep sense of empathy combined with excellent communication skills ensures you can effectively gather insights from diverse communities while representing their interests authentically within strategic planning discussions. Your academic foundation equips you with analytical thinking capabilities needed for research tasks; meanwhile your familiarity with industry best practices allows you to navigate regulatory frameworks confidently. Above all else, your commitment to ethical conduct aligns perfectly with the organisation’s values-driven approach.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Arts, Science, Communications, Cultural Studies, Social Sciences, Allied Health or any related discipline is required for this position.
  • Demonstrated experience in event organising, project management or public relations communications is highly advantageous for excelling in this role.
  • Previous exposure to the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry will be considered an asset when assessing suitability for this opportunity.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions within a matrixed global organisation is essential for building effective partnerships internally and externally.
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with the capacity to influence stakeholders positively are important attributes sought after by the hiring team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required to engage empathetically with patients as well as professional colleagues at all levels.
  • A track record of successful interaction with patients or community groups—particularly co-creating value with caregiver organisations—will set you apart from other candidates.
  • Familiarity with current trends in Patient Engagement along with knowledge of relevant guidance documents (PFMD/SAPI/Compliance) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • High proficiency in English (both spoken and written) is essential due to the nature of stakeholder interactions involved in this role.
  • A dependable team player who thrives in collaborative settings while demonstrating sensitivity towards diverse perspectives is highly valued.
