About the Role
A leading global financial institution is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Investment Banking team in Singapore, focusing on the Metals and Mining sector across the Asia-Pacific region. Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination and execution of M&A and financing mandates across the Metals & Mining sector in the APAC region.
- Prepare financial analyses and valuation models (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable company analysis, etc.).
- Produce high-quality client materials, including pitch books and transaction presentations.
- Conduct thorough industry and company research using public filings and credible sources.
- Coordinate due diligence processes, project timelines, and stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, finance, and other teams to ensure successful deal outcomes.
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing and mentor junior colleagues as appropriate.
- Uphold internal controls and ensure adherence to all relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in M&A or related roles within investment banking or corporate finance.
- Strong technical skills in financial modelling, valuation, and analytical frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to distil complex concepts into clear recommendations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams under time pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with APAC markets and regulatory environments is advantageous.
- Prior experience in the Metals & Mining sector is key for this role.
