What you'll do:

As a Senior Accountant, you will manage day-to-day financial operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules supporting audits, tax, and management reports. You’ll ensure timely tax filings and statutory submissions while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. Your role includes general ledger, accounts receivable/payable processing, and monthly reporting to support decision-making. Collaboration across teams and attention to detail are essential to drive continuous improvement in the finance function.

  • Prepare accurate journals, reconciliations, and comprehensive financial schedules to ensure all records are maintained in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Support the timely completion of tax filings by gathering necessary documentation and collaborating with internal teams to meet regulatory deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and detailed reporting packs that provide valuable insights for management decision-making.
  • Maintain strict compliance with established financial controls and policies, proactively identifying areas for improvement to strengthen internal processes.

What you bring:

You have strong hands-on experience in commercial accounting, including managing general ledger entries and supporting month-end close activities. You’re proficient with accounting systems, enabling you to handle daily tasks efficiently. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy and quality in all reports and schedules, while your organized approach keeps you on track during busy periods. You communicate well, building positive relationships across teams, and adapt smoothly to changing priorities. Above all, you’re dedicated to compliance, protecting the accuracy of financial data and the organisation’s reputation.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and hands-on experience with financial systems and ERPs, enabling efficient handling of daily transactions, reconciliations, and reporting tasks.
  • Demonstrates high accuracy in preparing journals, reconciliations, and financial schedules. Maintains a methodical approach to ensure completeness, compliance, and consistency in all financial documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple priorities within tight deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality.
  • Adaptability when responding to changing requirements or unexpected challenges within a fast-moving environment.
