Cybersecurity Risk & Controls Manager

My client is a leading blockchain firm that’s growing its cybersecurity team and looking for hands-on professionals to strengthen governance, uplift controls, and work side-by-side with engineers to solve real security challenges.

What You'll Do:

• Evaluate and strengthen cybersecurity controls across infrastructure, cloud, and blockchain environments
• Identify risks, propose practical and proactive security solutions, and follow through on implementation
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to design and embed secure processes
• Provide clear, actionable guidance to stakeholders and follow up to ensure changes are executed
• Manage regulatory and audit readiness (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, SOX, etc)
• Support post-incident reviews and control improvements where necessary
• Liaise with regional stakeholders, including teams based in China, to align security practices

What You'll Bring:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity governance, control assurance, or risk management
• Strong knowledge of frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, SOX, etc
• Ability to assess and address real-world technical risks, not just write policies
• Experience working with engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure teams
• Mandarin and English speaking skills to effectively communicate with Chinese stakeholders
• Background in blockchain, fintech, or fast-paced tech companies is a big plus
• Certified in CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC are highly desirable
