Network Operations Lead

Our client is a leading company, seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Network Operations Lead to join their IT team. This role combines leadership responsibilities with operational support and is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic oversight and fieldwork.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and support day-to-day network operations, including incident response, troubleshooting, and escalation handling for L1 issues.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco routers and switches across on-site and remote environments.
• Ensure smooth network connectivity across offices and data centres, performing routine checks and maintenance as required.
• Travel to data centres as needed for hands-on fieldwork, including hardware installation and support.
• Manage and mentor junior network support staff, ensuring operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support infrastructure upgrades, rollouts, and improvements.
• Maintain documentation for network configurations, changes, and incident reports.

What You'll bring:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of experience in network operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience supporting data centre.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and general network configuration.
• CCNA certification (or equivalent).
• Willingness to travel to data centre locations as needed.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead support teams effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
