An esteemed international bank is seeking an accomplished VP - Credit Risk Management to join their Singapore office. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of corporate clients across Asia and Oceania, working closely with business teams on high-value, complex transactions. You will play a key part in shaping credit decisions, influencing deal structures, and providing expert guidance on risk appetite and due diligence.

What you'll do:

As a VP - Credit Risk Management, you will be entrusted with managing a broad portfolio of corporate clients throughout Asia and Oceania.

  • Close collaboration with business teams as you analyse complex credit applications, challenge underlying assumptions in transaction proposals, and provide insightful recommendations that balance commercial objectives with prudent risk management.
  • Engage early in the deal process—offering guidance on structuring, due diligence requirements, financial modelling techniques, and risk appetite—while also presenting your findings clearly to senior management both locally and internationally.
  • Playing an integral role in supporting colleagues through mentoring activities, contributing to policy development initiatives, participating in change projects aimed at driving operational efficiencies, and maintaining vigilant oversight of your assigned portfolio.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across multiple functions will be essential as you help shape the bank’s approach to credit risk management in a rapidly evolving market landscape.

What you bring:

To excel as a VP - Credit Risk Management, you will bring substantial experience from corporate banking environments where you have managed large portfolios involving complex counterparties.

  • Minimally 7 years of experiences in corporate credit roles within the banking industry focused on large corporate counterparties
  • Proven track record preparing or reviewing detailed credit applications with clear recommendations balancing risk considerations against commercial objectives.
  • Demonstrated competence in analysing cashflow projections as well as synthesising financial statements alongside non-financial information for forward-looking counterparty assessments.
  • Broad product knowledge encompassing traditional lending products, trade finance solutions, acquisition finance structures, structured transactions, and derivatives analysis.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to build dependable relationships with business partners while providing clear advice on risk appetite requirements.
