An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join a leading international financial institution as Vice President within the International Credit Division, focusing on leveraged buyout transactions. This pivotal role is designed for someone who thrives in complex deal environments and enjoys working closely with business partners to deliver insightful credit recommendations and risk solutions.

What you'll do:

As Vice President International Credit Division (Leveraged Buyout), you will immerse yourself in the evaluation of intricate private equity-driven transactions throughout the APAC region.

  • Close cooperation with various business units as you analyse proposals for leveraged buyouts—scrutinising every detail from initial structuring through final approval.
  • Responsible for presenting your findings clearly to senior decision-makers both locally and internationally.
  • Offering practical alternatives when needed and identifying effective ways to mitigate risks, you will help shape the organisation’s approach to complex financing arrangements.
  • Your expertise will also be called upon during internal committee meetings where your insights into sector trends and counterparty dynamics will inform critical decisions.
  • Managing your own portfolio of accounts—tracking exposures across multiple dimensions—you’ll have opportunities to contribute to broader policy development efforts and process improvement projects.

What you bring:

In joining as Vice President International Credit Division (Leveraged Buyout), your extensive background in corporate credit analysis will be invaluable as you navigate multifaceted transactions involving private equity sponsors.

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate credit analysis and structuring within banking or advisory consultancy environments such as Big Four firms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analysing traditional corporate lending products as well as leveraged finance transactions including LBOs/MBOs and other structured deals.
  • Proven ability to assess risk factors across a wide range of client types—corporates and private equity—spanning multiple sectors and countries within APAC.
  • Deep understanding of sector-specific risk drivers combined with the ability to apply these insights when evaluating counterparties’ success factors along with business/financial risks.
  • A history of working collaboratively with business partners by providing timely advice on risk appetite requirements, due diligence needs, structuring options, and creative solutions for mitigating identified risks.
  • Experience contributing beyond core credit risk management activities—such as portfolio reporting, deep-dive analysis projects, policy formulation or process improvement initiatives.
  • A strong academic background at graduate or postgraduate level coupled with logical writing skills that enable you to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored appropriately for different audiences while respecting cultural sensitivities across regions.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities paired with lateral thinking skills that allow you to identify novel solutions for challenging risk scenarios.
  • Resilience under pressure combined with sound judgement; able to balance commercial considerations against prudent risk management while maintaining high integrity.
