An esteemed financial institution in Singapore is seeking an experienced Auditor for a 6-month contract, focusing on the audit of credit risk modelling and regulatory compliance. This opportunity is ideal for you if you possess deep expertise in MAS637 and IFRS9, and are passionate about ensuring robust internal controls within a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll do:

As an Auditor – Credit Risk Modelling (6 Month Contract), you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organisation’s compliance with critical regulatory frameworks such as MAS637 and IFRS9.

  • Conduct comprehensive internal audit activities in accordance with established Group Audit methodology and regulatory requirements, benchmarking against industry standards to ensure best practices are maintained.
  • Independently lead and execute all phases of the audit process, including planning, fieldwork, delivery of findings and recommendations, reporting, and post-audit follow-up actions.
  • Perform audits covering a wide range of MAS regulatory requirements, particularly MAS637 Pillar I, II & III, as well as other relevant standards such as IFRS9.
  • Provide independent reviews of credit risk models and conduct thorough credit stress testing to assess the effectiveness of internal controls within the organisation.
  • Utilise advanced data analytic tools to evaluate control environments, identify material areas of concern, and support evidence-based decision-making throughout the audit process.
  • Generate continuous insights into emerging risks by maintaining an up-to-date perspective on industry developments outside routine-based audits.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels to communicate audit findings clearly and constructively, fostering a culture of transparency and shared responsibility for risk management.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality audit reports that address key issues and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Support ongoing enhancements to audit methodologies by sharing knowledge gained from each engagement with colleagues across the Group Audit function.

What you bring:

To excel as an Auditor – Credit Risk Modelling (6 Month Contract), you bring substantial experience from reputable financial institutions where you have honed your technical knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as MAS637 and IFRS9.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or statistics with a focus on quantitative modelling is required; additional professional certifications such as CIA or FRM are considered advantageous for this position.
  • Twelve to fifteen years of relevant experience within international or local financial institutions, demonstrating a proven track record in auditing or credit risk model development/validation.
  • Extensive knowledge of MAS Notices & Guidelines (MAS637), IFRS9, and other applicable regulatory standards is essential for effective performance in this role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk governance, identification, measurement, and assessment related to MAS637 and IFRS9 areas is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Statistical Analysis System (SAS) programming skills is necessary for conducting detailed data analysis during audits.
  • Strong written communication skills paired with excellent interpersonal abilities enable you to engage constructively with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Experience leading audit teams or managing complex projects within a group audit context is highly valued for this assignment.
  • A meticulous attention to detail combined with self-discipline ensures accuracy in all aspects of your work while supporting organisational objectives.
  • Familiarity with advanced data analytics techniques enhances your capacity to identify trends and potential areas of concern within large datasets.
